Inaugural World 10-Ball Championships

128 of the world's elite pool players, from 43 countries, including the three reigning WPA World Champions leading a 47 player European invasion are World 8-ball champion Ralf Souquet of Germany, World 9-Ball champion Daryl Peach of Great Britain and World Straight Pool champion Neils Feijen of the Netherlands, all chasing a share of this year's largest total prize fund of $400,000.

FORMAT
GROUP PLAY DAYS 1 - 3

ROUND 1 - DOUBLE ELIMINATION (128 Players)
16 groups of 8 players.

The first round consists of 16 groups of eight players.

The eight players in each group will play a total of 10 matches. Two straight wins will qualify players into the last 64 while two straight defeats will eliminate competitors out of the tournament.

The final set of matches in the group will feature players with one win and one defeat competing to stay in the competition.

All first round matches will be a race to nine racks with the winner breaking.

4 players from each group qualify for the knock-out stages.

4 players from each group play in a 64-man straight knock-out and will be positioned according to their group numbers or rankings.
