Clash of the Titans in the Agipi Billiard Masters

Everybody's dream came true : four superstars will clash in the final stages of the Agipi Billiard Masters on Friday. D1ck Jaspers and Torbjorn Blomdahl emerged as favorites while Frederic Caudron and Semih Sayginer struggled to qualify but made a strong impression.

The show was everywhere during this event: At the end of the qualification groups Jaspers was above the masters with an average of 2.521 after six matches, and high runs of 22,20,13 and 12! Torbj�rn Blomdahl follows with a great average of 2.078, while Sayginer pleased the crowd with a run of 18 in his last qualifying match.

Before the final day, the event already looks like a success with fantastic performances, a packed audience and positive feedback from all the players : everybody enjoys the show !

The first edition of the Agipi Billiard Masters are already a success. The total prize money (minimum 100.000 euros) is going to skyrocket with the numerous rewards for special performances. After the groups stages, Jaspers is already above 17.000 euros (26.000 dollars) ! Going into the final stages, the dutch champion could double this amount, as the road to victory promises at least 15.000 euros more.

The final day is set: Jaspers will play against Fr�d�ric Caudron at 14:00 CET, while Torbj�rn Blomdahl will meet Semih Sayginer at 17:30. The Final will be played from 21:00.

3-Cushion Billiards - 16 invited players - Race to 50 points - and tonnes of cash!

We're down to the final eight in the AGIPI Billiards Masters played in Schiltigheim, France. From the two last groups will emerge four semi-finalists who will battle for the title this Friday.

Groups E and F will play Wednesday and Thursday. D1ck Jaspers heads group E with another former world champion Semih Sayginer. They are joined by Martin Horn from Germany and former World Cup winner Roland Forthomme from Belgium. Group F couldn't have been more difficult, with the presence of four world champions! Fr�d�ric Caudron (winner of the Sang Lee Open in 2006 and 2007), Torbj�rn Blomdahl (current world #1), Eddy Merckx and Marco Zanetti will battle to reach the semi-finals.

This new event rewards offensive play with bonuses for high runs, good averages and of course victories. All the champions have already opened their "account": Jaspers is in the lead with $11.600, followed by Caudron and Blomdahl, both around $8000 after the first group stages. On the performance part, Jaspers is also in the lead with a general average of 2.419 for three matches, and high runs of 22, 20 and 12.

Second session will begin at 5:30pm and third session at 8pm.
