The 2011 WPA World 9-Ball Championship for Wheelchair Athletes that is scheduled to be held at the Hotel Lysogory in Kielce, Poland on August 31 – September 4, 2011. According the information provided, the tournament will be limited to 26 players and players slots will be allocated to the WPA federations by the WPA. I have no information at this time regarding how many slots team GB will get. If you are a player I have not already contacted and you are interested in competing in this event, please contact me asap via this thread, PM, or by email to tonysouthern@msn.com As more information becomes available, I will post the details. Surely this year we will have a British World Champion. Can't believe they haven't told us entry fees/room rates yet. Late notice just like last year. Good to see a World Championship in Europe at last though

matt the room rates are on the stuff sent by Jeff Dolezel, no fee details on there though There are a few GB players in with a chance (roy as no 1 UK player in the hunt), but in the world Journi is the best player, Aaron may not come, Fred, Hendrick, and Kurt are all challenges, so it has too be earned [ This message was edited by: tigger147 on 2011-08-04 23:58 ]

Well my prep and coaching and recent win paid of a treat .... Not !!!! Got beat 7-2,!! FFS by fellow Brit Danny Luton He played well but I handed it too him ' Back to drawing board into losers bracket tonight, roy lost to Fred 7-5 so is in my half of losers side Craig welsh won too

Gutted lost 7-6 to roy from 6-4 up played a great bank on the 8 coming around off 2 cushions for 9, fecking game over , cue ball seems to speed up and fell in the middle Lost from there, take me a while to get over that loss Roy led 4-2 and missed easy 9 I won 4 on bounce playing well then it went t#ts up !! Roy last Brit in as Danny surprising lost to top polish guy
