Hi Phil, I'm on my way but have had a couple of trains cancelled so will be running a bit late. Any leniency on the match times?

This is one of the best formats I've seen in a tournament, great idea. Hopefully the dog is paying attention and runs a tourny with a similar format :o) ----------------- Regards

Well what a fantastic days pool, first I would like to thank St Albans Hurricane Rooms for having us for the day, Nicole Hansen for running the tournament desk and Pro9.co.uk for the coverage. A full field of 32 players were on display today all entering the event twice. Craig Osborne was the player who stayed in the draw on both half's for the longest, cashing as a Quarter Finalist and the Winner. Adam Collins was a shock finalist with players such as Imran Majid, Chris Buckmaster and Courtney Symons but never the less he played a excellent days pool, infact he was the Player that knocked Craig out of the other half of the draw 7v2!!!, Adam Stevens also played very well not making many mistakes and clearing up at every opportunity. Ramesh Gokhul would have created story of the day if he had of won the event as he arrived with only one contact lens and was therefore effectively playing with just one eye. Dave Lango a new player to Total9ball events had a battle against Chris Buckmaster winning 6v5 before loosing to Larry Catapang. Chris also had some great wins 7v2 against Imran Majid and 7v1 against Luke Rollison. So a new record is formed Craig Osborne winner and Quarter Finalist I wonder whether next time this event runs if a anyone can beat it and be Winner and Runner Up. Amateur version of this event coming in the next few months so watch this space. Fantastic event Phil and a quality format. Will be entering the amature version as the whole day was wide open for anybody. Adam Collins played exceptionally well and after beating Darren Saxby to make the quarters, played some of the best pool i have seen to beat Craig and Chris.
Unfortunatly for him after he beat Craig, Craig then went on to beat Imran and Dean Mazerel and i didnt see him miss a ball in the final. Think he said something after that he was going for some shots just because he didnt want to leave Adam in.
Anyway, well done Craig, nice win, deserved it the way you played in the final

Thanks to Phil with the idea for the tournament that alot of people rubbished the idea of (including me when i first read it..) but i was won over.....
the girls did a great job running the event so thanks to them also.
never expected it to be as physically demanding as it was, played 6 matches without a break at one point, back to back and it was knackering!
Obviously pleased to win and get adam back after thumping me earlier in the tournament. Alot of people would have been shocked that with the strength of the field that Adam would have made the final but he was unbelievable against me playing perfect to win 7-2. He said afterwards thyat it was the best hes ever plaid - but its great for him to show what he is capable of, hope for his sake he can produce that kind of pool next time hes at a GB9 event.
well done to him, i will be in the next event Phil no worries
