Also, another thing that would help promote American Cuesports in the UK as well as the Regional Tour, is for the "Tour" organisers to make it compulsory for a select few of the top pros to be there on the day before a scheduled tournament, to give free pool lessons to younger players who play at the local club where there tournament is played or is closest to the tournament venue. You can't expect the sport to grow if you haven't got a solid and united effort from both tournament organisers and the players, especially those who have been and still do compete at the top level. ----------------- If ya got 'em, smoke 'em [ This message was edited by: TheWizard on 2014-10-07 23:11 ]

TheWizard, after a static Daventry tour in 2012, GB9 held events in Telford, Bradford and Stansted in 2013 and Telford, Daventry & Blackpool this season at a huge expense in haulage costs in order to keep some sort of 'tour'. What happened? Players numbers dropped. So in 2015 we are returning to a static tour so that we can keep costs to a minimum and put the money saved from haulage into the prize fund. We just hope that the players appreciate the reasons and get behind GB9! ----------------- Andy Warden, GB9 - Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor √

Without clubs with decent tables, you won't get the players, but you'd think with the success of the Mosconi and the recent World Cup winning team nothing much more could be done to generate interest
