BTW...
Before anybody jumps on my back, Chris was a lot of fun to watch this year and I'm happy that a Brit got the MVP if Archer never!

Archer would have been a guarantee if the US had won the cup, no arguments. As said before i don't think that a losing player ever gets the nod

Well done team Europe. Well done to the crowd, still a few idiots out there, but they were in the minority and nothing like the previous nights. Well done to team USA, absolute class act, even in defeat. Well done to the European fans that stayed an applauded the USA players as they left the dressing room (and then headed over the road for a cheeky few). Also well done to the only kebab shop we found that stayed open [ This message was edited by: vjmehra on 2012-12-14 02:38 ]

Best Mosconi Cup EVER!!!
Chris Melling deserved the MVP without a doubt and what a lovely, genuine bloke. His two singles games had moments where the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
I've really changed my opinion of Dennis Hatch also, he definitely should be in the USA team for years to come.

Apparently, the TV viewing figures went through the roof for the final day of the Mosconi Cup, more than four times higher than the other days.
FYI... Barry Hearn was in the press room all day for the final.
I think they'll be looking for a larger venue next time it comes to the UK, as there were ticket scouts outside, and a lot of people didn't/couldn't get tickets - even after they had booked hotels.

Fantastic news!! Day 1 and 2 had live football on Sky Sports, so that would have effected the figures, but the fact Day 4 had a 'through the roof' rating shows that although there wasnt any sport competition on the night - people still watched! They didnt have to if they werent interested. Fantastic news for the Mosconi. ) ----------------- Twitter: @Darren_Foord
