Who was the one person who voted for Japan's Yukio Akakariyama? Looking like a good bet now! 10-9 ahead in race to 13.

" Granite " is home... lol!! Dont know where to start really!,but il give it a go... Firstly it was the best tournament ive ever played, conditions were perfect, venue awesome, even more so on the last day when it was full for semis and final, diamond tables was agreat idea. Just needed 9 ball on spot to finish it off.
Really thought i could win it until that dam white ball scratched at hill hill lol!!! But 3rd is still a great result for me as its my 1st 6 months playing full time.... Also cudnt of had it much tuffer from start to finish...
Gray 8v9 Efren Rayes Gray 9v7 Vilmos Foldes Gray 9v4 Youseff Jahal Gray 11v10 Kuo Po Cheng Gray 11v10 Chris Melling Gray 11v5 Antonio Gabica Gray 11v9 Shane V Boening Gray 10v11 Yukio Akakariyama
Thanks to everyone on Pro9 for all the well wishes and great support, also well done to Daryl on a great performance placing 5th until meeting a very inform Orcollo & Daz was looking gud but didnt get the rolls to place 9th..... Boyzi prob had the tuffest draw in last 64 in meeting Ko Pin Yi, cud of gone either way,Melling was his usaul potting machine self until i got lucky against him!!!,and Butchy created the most drama for all us english guys to watch!!! He had a chop fest wiv a kuwait lad to Qualify, then plays great against Feijen only to miss a simple 9 but gets lucky and scrapes thro!!!!!!!!
Roll on next year......................
Mark.

Well done Mark, went very close. The difference between winning and losing a match/tournament can be gauged on the most miniscule of occurences. Would of been lovely to see one of the nice guys winning the big prize,i am sure it will happen for you soon. On another note i have t say how pleasing it is to see the British players not only feature strongly in every major pool event but actually win a big percentage of them. Long may it continue. Good luck bud Rob M [ This message was edited by: ROBBYMAC on 2011-07-03 15:15 ]
