Hi all, Me (Phil Morgan) and Craig Osborne are going to do a 24 pool marathon on the 8th - 9th August. This is in aid of Marie Curie a cancer care charity who help people with terminal cancer die with dignity, for every £20 raised they can supply a nurse to support a patient at home for an hour. Research commissioned by Marie Curie Cancer Care shows that 64 per cent of people would choose to die at home. In reality only 25 per cent achieve this. Every year, Marie Curie Nurses make that wish possible for thousands of cancer patients in cities, towns and villages across the UK. Marie Curie Nurses now care for around 50 per cent of all cancer patients who die at home. They work through the night or during the day to provide care for patients in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of their own home. Marie Curie scientists are at the forefront of cancer research. They focus on how the cells of our bodies should normally operate; what causes these processes to go wrong, leading to cancer; and how better treatments can be developed. So we are going to do our bit and raise several hundred pounds for this great organisation, if you are happy to donate to this then please leave a message on here stating your name and how much you would like to donate then we will arrange to collect via pay pal. Marie Curie are involved and have supplied us with a letter showing they are very happy for us to do this for them, I can forward this via email as required, if you want any more info then please email me at mgan@rbos.co.uk or call/text me 07986968515. Every penny helps. Thanks for reading this and I look forward to the support the pool community gives in situations like this. Me £20.
If you setup a www.justgiving.com page its really easy for guys to add payments and keep track of your targets.
Also, I think the world record for non-stop pool was 3 days. Maybe you can beat that?

come on guys, this is a fantastic charity - I am asking everyone who knows me from GB9 and all the friends i have made over the years from the world of pool to just click a link and donate a couple of quid! please dont turn a blind eye - the hits alone tells us that loads of people look here but cant be bothered to go the next step...
Even if its just £1 from everyone who clicks on this link we will raise much needed cash for this charity...
Surely thats not too much to ask - even in the current climate.....
Ossie - hoping people donate what they can. thanks very much folks...
