I am considering a trip to Las Vegas for the 2011 Mosconi Cup (if, of course, that is where it is being held).......... so, has anyone travelled to the desert and if so, how much is an expected trip going to cost for 2, as the wife will never agree to me going alone ----------------- for those that have seen me play - NO I AM NOT BLIND!! I went to Mosconi last year and a group of us was planning to go this year but I can't make it anymore. I worked out that around £1000 would cover hotel, flights and tickets going for a week staying in the hotel where the event is held then spending money on top so maybe £1500ish. Just a quick note to say a facebook group called " Friends of the Mosconi " has been set up to hopefully answer any questions and the like for those who may be attending for the first and/or thinking of attending but may have some questions that you would like answering

Remember to visit the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead as well... I went to Las Vegas... Rented the biggest 4x4 on the planet for a week, but I kick myself now for now seeing more of the place. OK... I watched fabulous pool, non-stop for 8 glorious days during a BCA event... Bought a tonne of gadgets, and got some books signed by the authors too, I visited old town Las Vegas, checked out the other hotels, and I always presumed I'd be back next year, and again and again... But I didn't make it... And now... I DO regret not doing more, and I regret every minute that I slept. Good grief, you simply can't describe in words how amazing Las Vegas is. Visiting Vegas is precious - definitely make the most of it. Also, remember to gamble absolutely all your remaining holiday money on the last day - you need to gamble for ten straight hours and see the sun rise in Vegas for it to count as a real visit - in my opinion. ...And the 4x4? Only had Vegas "strip" miles on it when returned. What else is a "must do" in Vegas? Has anyone been on the Stratosphere ride, is it still there, and is it good?
