With regard to the WPC qualifiers in the Philippines... http://www.pro9.co.uk/html/article.php?sid=214---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Admin Edit: ^^^ This article has been pulled at the request of MatchroomSport as it was still subject to change... As soon as the details are confirmed, we'll do our best to make sure you'll hear it here at Pro9.co.uk first! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I was wondering how difficult it would be to qualify in Manila for one of the possible ten spots available? Your opinions? [ This message was edited by: Administrator on 2006-09-23 09:30 ]

Dependant on who fills the 128 spots i suppose if players like Rodolfo Luat, Dennis Orcullo are not included i can see it being very tough plus i imagine the locals will be pretty handy also maybe alot of talent no one has seen yet may crop up Question for everyone what precautions do i need to do if i intend on flying out to Manila and staying for the week will i need to see the doctor for jabs for Malaria, Typhoid etc? Anyone else flying out for the qualifiers? [ This message was edited by: crashnburn on 2006-09-19 15:33 ]

They aren't normally, and I seriously doubt they would be this time either, BUT... There's a chance of a great deal for Pro9'ers! ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

a PINT of beer here can get you 24 bottles of san miguel beer.the price ofa packet of cigarette here can buy you 20 packs of marlboro light.an hour of pool will only cost you 1.40 pounds but beware of hustler.there are so many locals with the same caliber of all pro filipino players but cannot find a manager.efren, django, marlon, alex pagulayan, luat, gallego, orcollo have the same manger which is puyat sport.

Well, the deal took a bit longer to thrash out than expected, but... The article is on the front page... Be hosted by Legendary Cue Maker Edwin Reyes, view his fabulous collection of cues, pool table in the hotel for Pro9'ers exclusive use and shuttle buses to and from the venues. The shuttle to the Qualifiers Venue is a fair distance, but it's a private pool club and although it's in an industrial area, it sounds great, with top class tables and facilities. Frankly, Manila sounds like a darn cheap place to live, so once you've paid the air fare, you're laughing. Definitely considering it myself now, after researching it on the net! Yeah, I'm not a major fan of nightclubs to be honest, but I enjoy socialising with the players.
Are you going to Manilla for the WPC?
I seriously think the Filipino fans will mean this could be the best World Pool Championship ever!
