Mark “THE BEAR” Mc Donald crowned Belfast Junior Champion
Mark “The Bear” Mc Donald from Belfast emerged as winner of the 2007 Belfast Junior Open 9Ball Pool Championship at the weekend when the event was staged in Club-9 Belfast.
The Bear as he’s known on the pool circuit scored a 9-5 victory over Paul Loughran from Tyrone in the final of the Belfast event promoted by Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour.
After a long day of action from the large turn out of young junior players who travelled from all parts throughout the 32 counties of Ireland shows the game of 9ball is starting to progress to major heights and is in good hands in the Emerald Isle.

If any EPT player (a player who has already played an EPT event) introduces a "new" player (a player who hasn't already played an EPT event), he/she can receive a £10 cash bonus on the day of the event!
To qualify for this promotion, simply tell the "new" player to send an email to darylpeach@empirepooltour.com with the name of their nominee (EPT player).
Once the email is received it will be confirmed with a reply email and the player can then pick up his/her £10 cash on the day of the event from the tournament desk.

The Grand Masters 8-Ball Open have announced a venue change for the inaugural £16,000 tournament featuring the cream of UK and European talent, now including German megastar Oliver Ortmann and Dutch star Neils Feijan, both promoted from the reserve list after a withdrawal of another player.
Marcus Chamat wins the qualifier in Norway to take his place in the Grand Masters event in Cambridge in March.
The brilliant Mickey Flynns club is delighted to be hosting the event and will be recovering ALL their tables with brand new Simonis 860 cloth for the occasion, as well as shimming the pockets to regulation 4.5 inches.

The APN-Leagues National Championships are underway at Rileys Harrow this weekend. As well as the main event, APN are hosting a number of smaller tournaments and competitions, from £5/man flyers to scotch doubles action (£10/team) and even some ring games – players willing!
Saturday's play will whittle the field down to the Quarter-Finalists (who all get prize money) and the results are coming through now.
