A fantastic weekend of top class pool came to a end at Ireland’s Invitation 8-Ball Pro-Am Pool Classic in the little town of Kesh in Co. Fermanagh which saw the current World 8-Ball Pool Champion Gareth Potts crowned champion receiving the first prize of £2,500 and the beautiful crystal trophy for his efforts, defeating Mick Hill in a classic final on a 10-9 score-line which went right down to the wire, keeping the large crowd of spectators on the edge of their seats with the high drama in the deciding frame.

8th Annual Predator International 10-Ball Championship
Dragon Promotions is pleased to announce the 8th Annual Predator International 10-Ball Championship to be held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino on May 12-17, 2008. The BCA Pool League will play host to the event this year as the pro event will take place in conjunction with the BCA National 8-Ball Championships. The event previously had been held in Florida for seven years straight, the last three years in Jacksonville.

Souquet tops Feijen in Greece!!!
Germany's Ralf Souquet battled his way though an enormous field of players to win the 2008 Gema 9-Ball Open at the weekend, edging out Dutchman Niels Feijen with an 11-9 score in the final in the Greek capital.
Organiser, Mr Nikos Berberidis said, "5 World Champions came to face the best players of the Greek championships". Berberides also said, "the level was high and it was a unique spectacle" of the tournament that was also attended by almost legendary American player - Earl Strickland.
128 players participated in a double elimination format tournament - followed by the Last 16 single elimination rounds.

The first edition of the Agipi Billiard Masters ended with a fight between of the greatest champions in the world of three cushion: Torbjörn Blomdahl defeated D!ck Jaspers 50-26 in 25 innings. The legend from Sweden, currently on top of the world ranking, left no chance in the final match to the best performer of the tournament, who sadly couldn’t find his rhythm at the worst time of the tournament.

There was a good turnout of 43 runners for the annual Rack’N’Roll Open in Leicester this year, including a fair few GB9 Ball Tour players getting in some match practice before the next event, as well as local players. Euro Tour number one Mark Gray was in attendance as well as the first Challenge Cup winner this season - Thomas Ainsworth-Smith, as well as many other tour members.
Group Stages including 8 groups in a race-to-four format with the top two players qualifying through to The Last 16 single elimination stage were followed by races to 6 in the Last 16 and Quarter Finals, then the Semi Finals were a race to 7, and the Final a race to 9.
