...was held in Portoroz, Slovenia, during the Dynamic Billiards European Championships. Many EPBF member nations have sent their delegates to this biannual meeting. Important decisions which will point the way for the EPBF in the future have been taken. The delegates present came up with a lot of questions which were answered by the Board to the satisfaction of all members. After the reports of the individual Board members, the statutes have been changed according to the Board's proposal. As a highlight of the meeting, four new full members were accepted into the pool family of Europe: Cyprus Pocket Billiard Federation (CYPURS), Koninklijke Nederlands Biljartbond (THE NETHERLANDS), Real Federacion Espanola de Bilard (SPAIN) and Federacao Portuguesa der Bilhar (PORTUGAL). The EPBF President Gre Leenders welcomed them all in. After discussing the future activities and budgets, the elections were taking place. For the Board, all members were re-elected even though there were candidates running against some of them. But Frans van den Bergh (Treasurer), Anamaria Matesic (Sports Director), Sandra Hanf (Youth Sports Director) and David Morris (Board Member) all received the trust of the General Assembly. Joining the Board as a new assessor is Kurt Roos from Sweden. After that, the Court of Arbitration and the auditors have been elected, and the meeting ended after 5 hours of fruitful and positive discussions. The EPBF is now ready to continue the good work from the recent years with full strength.

T9B The Double Chance Amateur/Rookie Series 2013 The St Albans Hurricane Room Unit 8 Verulam Industrial Estate 224 London Road St Albans Hertfordshire AL1 1JF www.hurricaneroom.co.uk www.t9b.co.uk - live score
Saturday 27 April 2013

Luke Rollison wins 2nd event back-to-back, with T9B tour founder Phil Wildman. Click the picture to view the larger image - use "back" to return here. Rollison wins second consecutive T9B Amateur Event
27th April 2013 saw the T9B hit the midway point of it's Amateur Series with Event 3 held at the beautifully refurbished Hurricane Room club in St Albans. 29 players in total supported this event and it was great to see some new players mixed with some regular players. First of all, we hope all new players to the series enjoyed the event and will support more in the future, there was some great feedback from them about how nice the atmosphere was and that they enjoyed the experience of a T9B event greatly. The format used was the T9B created, double chance format, this format offers players two chances to win and also the possibility that on a really good day one player could win both the "Winner's Prize Fund", as well as the "Runner Up Prize Fund" plus the "Jackpot Roll Up" which currently stands at £110 meaning yesterday's total Jackpot on offer was a cool £510. There were a few key performances yesterday at the Hurricane Room and also some some players who I feel who need to be put in the spotlight for how that played, therefore I am writing this report a little differently.

WPBL Season to Launch May 30th with Free Broadcast
World Professional Billiard League Bonus Ball Studio Las Vegas Nevada USA www.wpbltv.com - facebook - twitter - official rules
Thursday 25 April 2013

WPBLtv Press Release - WPBL Season to Launch May 30th with Free Broadcast
The World Professional Billiard League will launch the inaugural 2013 season Thursday May 30th at 7pm PT. The entire season will be played at the new 13,000 sq. ft. WPBL arena in Las Vegas, where 48 of the world’s top players will compete over the course of 26 weeks to become the first ever WPBL Champions.
After numerous unforeseen construction delays, the entire season had to be rescheduled. With new management in place, all players were consulted to successfully schedule around major events abroad. The match on June 20th was also eliminated to accommodate the Ultimate 10 Ball Championship in Mississippi. The entire 2013 schedule can be viewed at www.WPBLtv.com.
Darren Appleton, captain of the Philadelphia Aces, made the following comment “After all the setbacks and bad luck the WPBL has experienced, it’s great to finally see light at the end of the tunnel. It's also great for everyone involved, the players and billiard industry, that the WPBL is working around international events to allow us, the players, to play in these tournaments. The WPBL is a professional organization with top class people involved and they give us hope for the future. The players and teams are behind them 100%, and still believe in Bonus Ball, as this is the best opportunity for pool to gain worldwide respect and recognition.”

The 2013 Betfair.com World Snooker Championships
Well... My tip for this year's World Snooker Championship fell at the very first hurdle.. Little did I know that despite winning the Shanghai Masters last year, John Higgins has been struggling a bit since then, and this time too many little errors put too much pressure on the Scotsman, and his opponent, Mark Davis, fairly cruised through to the next round.
So, have a look at the draw, and see if you can pick this year's winner - Will it be Selby, Trump, or a triumphant return to form by Ronnie O'Sullivan? Why not join this discussion in our forums and tell us who you fancy for this title.

EVENT REPORT: 2013 GB9 PAUL MEDATI TROPHY
THE 2013 GB9 PAUL MEDATI TROPHY Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Forgegate Telford Centre Shropshire TF3 4NA United Kingdom www.gb9balltour.com
Friday/Saturday/Sunday 12-14 April 2013
Mick Hill - 2013 Paul Medati Trophy Champion PRESS RELEASE – 21 APRIL 2013
Players old and new were out in force at the Park Inn by Radisson hotel in Telford as Mick Hill picked up his first piece of GB9 silverware at the 2013 Paul Medati Trophy.
This competition always draws out the memories from all players but especially the band of players who were fortunate enough to share their time with Paul Medati him on the inaugural season of GB9, and more recent players will likewise have been familiar with Mark Lovell. Despite them falling to the affliction of cancer, both men have cemented themselves forever in the thoughts of players across the tour and indeed the world. Their warm, kind and humorous natures brought a welcome smile to the faces of many in what is often the fast paced nature of 9-ball pool.
The two finalists in this year’s Paul Medati Trophy brought two laid back but highly talented cueists to the table – the relatively new face to 9-ball in Dudley’s Mick Hill, and a stalwart of the tour in the form of Craig Osborne from Ipswich.

European Championships - Alcaide, Kjoersvik and Dinsmore win Gold
EPBF Dynamic European Championships 2013 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball and 14.1 for Men, Women and Wheelchair Grand Hotel Metropol Obala 77 Portoroz Slovenia www.metropol-resort.com www.epbf.com www.epconline.eu www.kozoom.com - PPV LiveStream (23 tables/23 streams)
10-20 April 2013
The 8-Ball Champions: David Alcaide, Fred Dinsmore and Line Kjoersvik (l.t.r.) 8-ball competition ended in Portoroz
The Dynamic Billard European 8-ball Champions 2013 are David Alcaide (ESP), Line Kjoersvik (NOR) and Fred Dinsmore (IRL).
Alcaide terminated young Jim Chawki (SWE) with 8:4. Both players performed on a high level but it could be seen that Alcaide had much more experience on his side. Chawki played a great semi-final. He even managed to get a 3:1 lead over Alcaide. But then the tide turned in the match. Alcaide played much stronger and ran out 4 of his first 5 racks. That might have impressed Chawki. The Swede also scratched on his break shot two consecutive times in the 10th and 12th rack which probably broke his neck in this final match.
Alcaide punished his mistakes and jumped up when he pocketed the 8-ball to win the match with 8:4.
