Alan Millership in action at the Nottingham 9 Ball Tournament Millership and Czapski split the pot at Nottingham Open
Alan Millership and Bartek Czapski made the "pro choice" and split the pot after reaching the final at the Rileys Nottingham Open today. The alternate break format with groups stages and then a single elimination last 16 knockout event, organised by Kevin Simpson was a popular affair.
Those that didn't make the cut were permitted to enter a plate competition with a £100 prize fund - won by Adam Clarke.

 | IPT Ultimate 8-Ball - Karl Boyes v Tony Robles |
IPT Ultimate 8-Ball Karl Boyes vs. Tony Robles Studio TV Hollywood Los Angeles California USA www.internationalpooltour.com www.karlboyes.co.uk www.tonyrobles.net
Tuesday 24 June 2008 - 1AM London time tonight!
Set your alarms for 1AM London time tonight for two LIVE Matches!
The International Pool Tour announces that Alex Pagulayan will not be playing in the challenge match against Karl Boyes on June 24, 2008. Pagulayan's management informed the IPT today that he lost his passport. In a statement released by management at Puyat Sports, Pagulayn said "I am very sorry but I will not be able to make to the exhibition match this coming Tuesday, June 24th. I lost my passport in a car mishap last week. I have applied for a replacement of his passport with the Canadian embassy and the foreign affairs department here in Manila." The International Pool Tour wished Pagulayan good luck in resolving his passport issue.
Replacing Pagulayan will be professional pool player Tony Robles. Mr. Robles contacted the IPT several days ago about taking part in a future broadcast. When the IPT was informed of Pagulayan's inability to participate, "Robles seemed like the natural choice" said Deno Andrews, Director of the International Pool Tour. Andrews also said that "we are delighted that Mr. Robles flew across the country on hours notice to participate. Tony is a true champion and one of the game's nicest people." The IPT thanks Mr. Robles for his participation. The match airs live at www.internationalpooltour.com Tuesday, June 24th, at 8pm (eastern). The match is free for all viewers.

Finalists Phil Burford and Chris Melling shake hands before the final at Barnsley The Locomotive steams home from Barnsley with the trophy as passenger
Phil "The Locomotive" Burford, the former Under 18 Junior UK Champion, has won The Barnsley Nine Ball Open with a stunning 10-9 victory over the two-time English 8-Ball World Champion Chris Melling.
The youngster from Darlington appeared to tear through the single elimination stages of the event with a very strong performance producing some very one-sided results in his favour, but without doubt the toughest match was the final, going to a tense hill-hill deciding rack.
The Barnsley Open isn't just about the main event though, as Friday night saw a Challenge Match between Richard "Indiana" Jones and Darren "Dynamite" Appleton - the second leg of the challenge that started with a win by Jones at Mickey Flynns, his home club in Cambridge.
This time the match went to Appleton, leading most of the way despite a strong mid-match rally by Jones which saw him level the scores at 11-11. The final score, a dominating 21-15 win for the Yorkshireman saw calls for a "decider" to be played at Cambridge!
Finally, one of the most fun challenges at this event, the fantastic speed-pool tournament. Two tables set side-by-side, and players have to clear the table faster than their opponent on the next table. It's great fun to watch, and now, Craig Dixon knows what it's like to win it too!
