An invitation to the 2008 Barnsley 9 Ball Open
Due to popular demand this event has been rescheduled as a single day event, opening up the opportunities for more players to sign-up to the same great value event, with more convenience of a single day format.
There's still a guaranteed extra £250 added to the prize fund from Rileys, it's still at one of Rileys best clubs, there's still going to be a plate competition too, and there's still the potential for a nice four figure prize fund.

Prize fund
Entry fees + £250 added money for both main event and plate comp.
Format
Maximum of 90 players

32 players:
1st: 500
2nd: 250
3rd: 100

75 players:
1st: 1000
2nd: 500

Main Event
Entry fee: £36 pay in advance, or pay on the day. £1 of entry fee goes to running costs. If you want to pay by PayPal entry fee will be £37,50 to cover PayPal fees to "shir at metro9 dot com".
Format
Group stages on the early rounds playing decent length races dependent on entries. This will be followed by single knock-out stages with the top players of the groups going through. Alternate break. Tapped tables.
Draw
Draw will be made on the day by an independent adjudicator (last time it was by Club Manager George Vetters and witnesses). Groups will be published on Pro9.co.uk
