Ralf Souquet to visit Scotland for Exhibition Night
The Creamery in Falkirk has organised the legendary Ralf Souquet to travel from Germany for an Exhibition Night on Saturday 5 April. A whole host of local businesses are helping to sponsor what promises to be a great evening.
Predator cues will be on site with a range of their products while Ralf has provisionally agreed to donate a signed Joss cue. The night will last for 5 hours with 9-Ball, 8-Ball and Straight Pool all being demonstrated.

On Saturday night we had a special challenge match between Ralf Souquet and Niels Feijen. They played for a winner takes all 1500 euro first prize. It was a one way match, as Ralf only missed 1 single ball! He beat Niels Feijen 13-4, and never allowed him to get in the match.

The Amsterdam Open has traditionally been a 9-Ball event, but this year it's revamped into an 8-Ball tournament with round-robin group stages because this event has always been about a LOT OF POOL!

David Bare has been running the Paris Open for several years now and the format was the same as before... Qualifiers just before at Akademy Beaugrenelle, a cavernous club with lots of tables, and then the actual event at the Clichy Montmartre club, one of the most beautiful clubs in the city.
This year it was Ralf Souquet who continued his rich vein of form by taking the title. Clearly the in form player, Ralf showed his class yet again by taking the tidy 4000 Euro first prize in a thrilling final against Yannick Beaufils from France.

No change at the top after latest Scottish event
The Scottish American Pool Players Association have just posted the latest provisional rankings for 2008 after the recent tournament at Paisley on Sunday, and there's no budging Pat Holtz from the top of the hill as he remains the provisional Scottish numero uno!
In actual fact, none of the top six players have moved in ranking order although Pat Holtz (1) has perhaps cemented his position a little with his semi-final finish, losing to the eventual winner, Jayson Shaw (11) who is promoted to the number 11 spot, surely only ranking so lowly because he has missed events. Runner up was Davey Jack (5) and filling the semi-finals with an incredible result was rank outsider Alan Maxwell (90) who is now ranked 90th.

The 10 Ball Tournament at Mickey Flynns
Mickey Flynns 10-Ball updates and results
Mickey Flynns 10-Ball event got underway with a good turn-out of players to the first major event of 2008 for this group stage format tournament followed by a single knockout format through to the final.
Many thanks to Mickey Flynns for hosting and running the event, and providing valuable free table time for the players, as well as adding £5 for every entrant into the competition and therefore paying out MORE than the entry fees - as usual!
