Great Britain's Mark Gray unofficially tops end-of-season Euro Tour Rankings
Italy's Bruno Muratore has won the Spanish EuroTour tournament after edging out Poland's Radoslaw Babica by the slimmest of margins after a hill-hill thriller final in the end of season event at Malaga's Torrequebrada Hotel.
Although nothing is official until announced by the concerned authorities, it is thought that Great Britain's Mark Gray could be the new EuroTour No.1 ranked player for 2008 in only his first season on the tour, with his semi-final exit to the eventual winner being enough to take him over the line ahead of favourites Stepanov, Peach and Souquet.

Matchroom Sport can announce that they have imposed some new rules on the break shot for the 14th annual PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup which takes place at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas from Thursday 13 Friday 16 December.
With the soft break starting to dominate under present racking conditions, it was felt that a change was required in order to bring back the power break, for so long one of the biggest and best parts of the game.

Team BBC will kick off the New Year with a Money Match Extravaganza weekend to be held in Pool World on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th January 2008.
This event came about as a result of Mick Hill stating on the uk8ball site that in an effort to get back his hunger for the game he wouldnt mind some match practice for the odd penny or two!!! A few telephone calls later and we have one of the most prolific money match players in the UK playing against Simon Ward (who has only ever played for the odd penny or two lol), for a grand a man!!! This should be a cracking match between 2 players who have never met each other (on the table) before and who have two very different styles of play. Mick is of course the favourite, but playing a race to 20 at blackball rules on Simons home turf at Pool World, amongst what will be a very partisan Welsh crowd, might just shorten the odds a little.

Special Event - 10 Ball Ring Game
The six participants were Karl Boyes, Phil Burford, Gareth Esprit, Stephen Folan, Imran Majid and Tony Weafer. Each started with a 250 stake, the players take turns at the table, shooting until they miss.
In the opening round of play each player would pay 25 to the player who sank the 10-ball each time, making the key ball with 125 to the successful player each time.
First blood was surprisingly drawn by the unfancied underdog of the event, Tony Weafer, who made a very solid run to the nine but left himself a very long 10 ball. He held his nerve very well and sank the ten confidently and continued to run a few balls after his break.

Download the latest provisional rankings and results from this weekend's SAPPA ranking tournament in Edinburgh (Ev4) along with this full year's SAPPA results.
It was another fantastic turnout with 83 players attending and it's just showing the growing popularity of the sport within Scotland.
Due to a lack of 9ft tables in the venue (only 8x Brunswick Metro's), the tournament never got finished in time with the final match between Scott Ross and Davy Jack outstanding. This will hopefully be played at the next event in December.
It was great to see so many new players (including some ladies) at this event and in particular the performances of Dawud Quadir from Glasgow (qtr-finals), Poitr Ostrowski from Fraserburgh (last 16) and Elaine Campbell (33rd) should be applauded in such a strong field.
