Blomdahl is King of Pool & Billiards in Korea
Seoul, Korea- Torbjorn Blomdahl of Sweden, the current #1 ranked 3-Cushion player in the world, defeated Korea's #1 Young Hwa Jeong in a contest of carom and pocket billiards. The two champions played a set of 3-Cushion, 9-Ball, and 8-Ball on live TV with MBC ESPN at Korea's largest amusement park Lotte World.
"Blomdahl is the world's best at 3-Cushion, but I know he plays 9-Ball well too. It won't be easy for me." admitted Korea's Champion Jeong.

Top quality pool at the final stages of this tournament but when the dust settled the headlines had Niels Feijen's name on them as he won this Groningen event for the third time.
Niels played well throughout the tournament, reported tournament director Gerrie Delger, beating Huidji See in the semi-finals 9:1, and then Nick van den Berg in the final with a 10:5 scoreline. (Incidentally, if van den Berg had won the final instead, it would have been his third consecutive win at this event!)

KIA Motors Becomes Pool's First Modern Car Sponsor

Austria and the Netherlands are winners in Cyprus
Austria's Cetin Aslan has won the 3rd International North Cyprus 9 Ball Billiard Tournament after a close 13:11 win over Hungary's Sandor Tot in the final of this event in Cyprus.
The event attracted a star-studded European field with such luminaries as Goran Mladenovic, Serge Das, Ralf Eckert and Ivica Putnik among the international players entering.
The women's event was won by Estelle Bijnon from the Netherlands, beating her Turkish opponent Eylul Kibaroglu with a 10:6 score.

County Mayo Venue Hosts 2007 European Nations Cup
Ireland’s American Cue-Sport Federation are proud to announce they have won the right and have been accepted by the European Pocket Billiard Federation to stage the first ever European Nations Cup, taking place on the Emerald Isle from Tuesday 13th to Sunday 18th November 2007.
Without doubt this is one of the biggest pool events ever to take place in this country when a host of the World's top 9ball pool players, never mind Europe will be representing their country in the beautiful West of Ireland town.
Full details of this prestigious event will be announced shortly but in the meantime Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour's organiser Ronnie Boyle has already received clarification that Setanta Sports will be covering the event, plus Ronnie will be trying to secure other TV companies for this great Irish occasion.
