Ireland's Qualifying Criteria for the 2007 European Nations Cup

The criteria used by Ireland's American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour for selection onto Ireland's men's international pool team for the 2007 European Nations Cup is done on merit and open to any Irish player who pays their yearly membership of £20.

2007 European Nations Cup:
The men's 3-aside international men's team to represent Ireland in the 2007 European Nations Cup in Castlebar Co. Mayo, Rep of Ireland in November will be selected from the following criteria.

(1). Top ranked 9ball player in the tour's official 9ball rankings ( cut-off date 6th October 2007) leaving four 9ball ranking tournaments to be played for the remaining ranking points.

(2). Top ranked American 8ball player in the tour's official American 8ball rankings (cut-off date 13th October) leaving three American 8ball ranking tournaments to be played for the remaining ranking points

(3). The third and final place will come from a open qualifier played on Saturday 20th October 2007 in TJ's American Pool Club Newry with the game being either American 8ball, 9ball or 14.1. This open qualifier tournament will replace the Newry 9Ball Open Championship on this date with entry fee being £25. Players must pre-enter !!!!!!

Note:
Only players who are official members (£20 per-year & paid up) on Ireland's American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour can enter this open team qualifier for selection onto Ireland's international pool team.

After the cut-off dates if it happens that the same player is ranked number one in both set of official rankings the following will take place..

(A). The 9ball rankings will be first preference.

(B). The player ranked number two in the American 8ball rankings will be selected.

(C ). The official 9ball rankings has always been first preference for international team selection on Ireland's American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour over the years since the tour started.
