Alcano lost his first match and won 8 in a row to become the champion in Louisiana
New Iberia, Louisiana- Ronnie "The Volcano" Alcano just needed a little time to erupt. He arrived fresh off the plane and took a loss off the bat, but then was unstoppable. In eight consecutive matches, he was unthreatened .The Championship Cloth 5th Annual Pro Classic events are a pro 9-Ball and 10-Ball event during October 16th-20th, 2012. The events take place side by side to the Ozone Billiards US Amateur Open all hosted by Emerald Billiards and produced by Dragon Promotions. The event is co-sponsored by Predator Cues, Poison Cues, Aramith Balls, Pool & Billiard Magazine and sanctioned as an ABP International Rankings Points Tournament.
Robb Saez was the victim in the finals, thought Saez had been burning them up on his side of the charts. Saez had a tight 9-8 win over Adam Smith when Smith faltered on the 7ball case game, but Saez burned through his opponents after including a 9-3 over Wang Can and 9-2 over Charlie Williams in the hot seat finals.

Warren Kiamco - Champion of the Johnny Archer Classic
Marietta, Georgia- Long time veteran Warren Kiamco did what so few players have ever been able to do, completely dominate America's top player Shane Van Boening in the finals. Van Boening who is so accustomed to winning on US soil, was completely hammered by the smooth, finesse style of Kiamco. The Scorpion Cues Johnny Archer Classic is a Dragon Promotions production and sanctioned by the Association Of Billiard Professionals as an ABP International Points Ranking Tournament and hosted by the Marietta Billiard Club.
The event was supported by Fat Boy Productions Co. and Steve Florentino Billiards. Heavy hitter companies are getting behind the event for the first time as well such as Ozone Billiards and Championship Cloth who will be supplying all the tournament tables Tour Edition 3030 cloth. Ruijsink back for fifth Mosconi Cup
JOHAN RUIJSINK, the 46 year-old Dutchman, will once again be sitting in the captain’s chair for Team Europe when the 2012 PartyPoker.com Mosconi Cup gets underway this December at the York Hall in East London.
This will be Ruijsink’s fifth Mosconi Cup and he will be looking to maintain his undefeated record at the event. He led the side for the first time in 2006 when a draw halted a run of three successive American wins and then the following year he took an untested team to Las Vegas and upset the odds with a glorious 11-7 victory.
Ruijsink missed the event in ’08 and ’09 but was back for the tournament’s return to the York hall in 2010 when two top teams clashed and Europe prevailed 11-8 winners after four unforgettable days. Then last year, he took the team back to the MGM Grand, Las Vegas where they dispatched the Americans 11-7.
“I am delighted to have the honour of being Mosconi Cup captain again and Europe is not about to give up our dominance,” said a confident Ruijsink.

Courtney Symons continues his winning ways as he hits top gear with the race heating up for the 16 Grand Final places. 32 players descended upon the Hurricane Room in St Albans for Event 3 of the T9B Amateur 2x Series. Players traveled from near and far to try to become the first to sweep the jackpot at the 2x series. All players are drawn randomly into both sides of the draw meaning a player who wins all their matches would win the winner's and runner's up prize money. It was declared by many players on the day that this was the strongest field ever seen at a T9B event with Chris Buckmaster, Courtney Symons, Gareth Esprit, Glenn Cooney, Luke Rollison, Neil Margossian, Michael Rhodes, Oly Bale, Ramesh Gokhul and Steve Petty to name a few all in attendance.

Wiley gets the nod as USA captain
FOLLOWING A 16 year absence from the event, winning 1996 Mosconi Cup player/captain CJ Wiley returns to London this December as skipper of the American team at PartyPoker.com Mosconi Cup. The 47 year-old Wiley from Texas was in charge of the side in London in 1996 and had the honour of potting the winning 9 ball in a 15-13 victory.
After a highly decorated spell at the top, including winning the ESPN World Championship, Wiley wound down his career in the 2000’s, choosing to focus on a successful business career. He’s now back and will be facing one of the toughest challenges of his career as he attempts to rally his side and try and turn their recent Mosconi Cup fortunes around.
“It's an honor to be chosen to represent the USA Team as Captain in 2012,” said Wiley.
“I have been honored with the ‘Player of the Year’ award and won major championships; however being chosen to represent my country and its best players in the Mosconi Cup is something I value as an even greater personal accomplishment.
“I know that the European Team has dominated us over the past 6 years and I know it's going to be especially challenging to go into York Hall in front of a highly enthusiastic home crowd and win the Mosconi Cup.
