Suzo-Happ, the global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of gaming and amusements products, has chosen to partner billiard cloth manufacturer Milliken at the inaugural European Amusement and Gaming (EAG) Expo in January.
Like Suzo-Happ, Milliken serves markets across the globe, not least in China, where its Strachan brand is highly rated.
Snooker is hugely popular in Asia, where Milliken is consolidating its position after signing supply agreements with the International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) and the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS).

2009 PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup - America Reclaim Mosconi Cup

TEAM USA have won the PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup outright for the first time since 2005 as they took the required two points on Sunday to defeat defending champions Europe by a four point margin.
A win for Dennis Hatch, who took ‘Most Valuable Player’ honours as the winning team’s biggest point scorer, took the team to the hill and then Shane Van Boening snatched the trophy clincher as he defeated Ralf Souquet.
It was a proud moment for American captain Nick Varner after last year’s disastrous trip to Malta; “This has been the best five days of my life and they all just played so well and I’m so proud of them,” he said.
“I feel really good and I think I’m going to be like Dennis and probably start crying. The whole team - Dennis, Johnny, Corey, Oscar and Shane - have played so well and I am so happy.”
Making his Mosconi Cup debut, Buffalo-based Hatch was the star of the show throughout as his ebullient presence from start to finish as well as his outstanding play, drove his side on.
Clutching his glass MVP Award, a tearful Hatch said, “I can’t explain how I feel; this is the best moment of my life.
“I want to thank all the fans for being here and if it was not for those guys we wouldn’t have won. It’s the best feeling I’ve ever had and this team is just amazing.

2009 PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup - It’s Europe’s to Lose!
2009 PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup Studio Ballroom MGM Grand 3799 Las Vegas Boulevard South Las Vegas Nevada USA www.matchroompool.com
10-13 December 2009
Deuel and Dominguez Both Quietly Confident
COREY Deuel admits Europe are the favourites to win the PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup but believes they may crack under that pressure.
Deuel returns to the American Mosconi side after not being selected last year when USA slumped to an 11-5 defeat in Malta.
On the eve of the event, many people believe this is the strongest European side ever and Deuel admits America will have to be at their best to claim victory.
“America, on paper, are the underdogs but I think our team are getting along and if we can gel together we will win,” said Deuel. "It’s Europe’s cup to lose but we need to go out there and win it."
“We’ve won it in the past more times in the past but they have a good team this year. There will definitely be pressure on them for sure so how will they cope? I love playing in this and the Mosconi Cup is my favourite tournament to play in.
“I get along with all my team and I’m glad to see all the rest of the guys in the team. I respect their games and am looking forward to it.”

Rich Wharton from Anglia Ruskin (Cambridge) created history by winning the Individual Championship and thereby becoming the first student to have won the Individual Championship in two separate University cue sport disciplines. With over 150 students participating, this event continues to boast the title of the biggest annual nine-ball event in the UK.

Gray beats Boyes in all British EPBF Euro Tour Ten Ball Final

Players on the EPBF's Euro Tour normally expect to be playing Nine Ball as they follow the biggest continental tour in the world across it's member countries, but this season they have been alternating between Nine Ball and Ten Ball, and this tournament in Spain is being played to the latter discipline.
The double elimination rounds whittled the international field down to a more modest 16 in-form players who then proceeded to play out the final day in single elimination format to determine the ultimate victor.
Once again the closing stages of the Euro Tour featured a strong contingent of players from the UK as nearly a third of the final 16 were from Great Britain, with two Germans, two Dutch and two Italians being the only other nations with more than one player in the final stages.
Congratulations go to Britain's Mark Gray who took the honours in the ultimately all-British final match with an 8-6 victory score over fellow UK entrant Karl Boyes.

Take Your Pick!
With the 2009 PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup a little over a week away, Matchroom Sport can announce the format and schedule for the four days of the event.
There are a total of 21 matches in place to determine the destination of the famous solid silver trophy and this year there are a few changes in order to allow more players to play more matches. Successful partnerships in the doubles will be one-offs as no pairing can appear more than once.
The onus is firmly on the two captains – Alex Lely and Nick Varner – to employ all their experience and plot a strategy that will win their side the Mosconi Cup.
In a complete departure from previous years, Singles Matches 5 & 7 will see the captains decide who plays for the opposition rather than their own teams!
Commented Matchroom Sport Chairman Barry Hearn; “In previous years, the captains understandably stuck with the winning partnerships, but for 2009 there will be no place to hide and all ten players will feel the full heat of battle.
