Great Britain’s Official 9 Ball League and County League - Starts Jan 2010

GB9 Leagues, Britain's first official 9 Ball League is launched today - in association with Rileys Snooker and Pool and several independent clubs, GB9 Leagues will run in over 120 Clubs throughout Great Britain.

It's aim is to attract over a thousand members to play team league 9 Ball, and a further 256 to play in Regional Teams to qualify for the main GB9 Ball Tour.

As well as fantastic discounts and offers from our sponsors, there will be an estimated prize fund of £40,000 between the two divisions with prize money being paid throughout.

Daryl Peach, Darren Appleton, Imran Majid, Chris Melling and Karl Boyes have all agreed to endorse GB9 Leagues as they see it as the future for the sport.

Rileys Snooker and Pool have agreed to run this in over 100 clubs across the country and have offered full support for the project. “We see this as an important move in the development of 9 Ball throughout the UK, and we will provide as much support as we can” said Sean Langley, Director.

FORMATS

GB9 Ball League
Will see teams of three players compete in 3 periods of twelve weeks. Whilst team results are important, individual results will be the measuring tool to decide who goes forward to compete in the play-offs for the single’s title and the 36 Qualifying spots for the County Level. There will also be end of season play-offs for team title and an Open for the bottom 64 players, for best newcomer.

GB9 Ball County
7 Super Counties will be created and will meet each other in a round robin format with the top two teams fighting out for the main trophy. Similarly to the League individual results will count and the top 64 will be invited to attend a qualifying event for a guaranteed 50% of all GB9 Challenge Tour spots.

Exact Dates will be confirmed nearer the time, until then please feel free to log onto gb9leagues.com (live from December 1st 2009) to register your details for more info.
