Coventry Rileys fills the void with a 9-ball event.
Due to Mickey Flynns tournament disappearing this Sunday there is a hole in the American pool calendar.

2007 Ipswich Scotch Doubles 10 Ball Tournament
This should be a fun event... Rotation games are invariably a solitary affair and players are wrapped in their own thoughts and worlds, but Scotch Doubles always brings a different kind of pressure to the game and the results can be fun for players and fans!
Not only that, but the reward is high and this event should attract some very competitive duos vying for their share of the £2,450 prize fund on offer.

2007 World 14.1 Straight Pool Championship
The 2007 Predator World Straight Pool Championship will feature 52 world class 14.1 players who were invited for this event and qualifiers were held for 12 spots. In total, 64 elite players will be playing for the title of World 14.1 Champion.
This year's event will be even bigger and better than last year's event with an additional $5600 added to the tournament. $5000 will be used to pay the players with the highest runs of the tournament. $20,600 will be added to the main purse . Thanks to our Patron Sponsors Randy Goldwater of NYC (2nd year in a row as presenting sponsor) and new patron supporter Joel Schapiro of NYC.

2007 Midlands 10 Ball Championships
Free practice/cash flyer on Friday evening, cash poker tournament on Saturday evening, cash flyer on Sunday for players not through to the last 16, we're hoping if successful this can become an annual event and attract in excess of 64 players.
Once I have a better idea of numbers I will also try to broker a deal for cheap hotel rooms for players, and also see if I can sort out free entry into the range of nightclubs over the road from the club for the Saturday for players and guests.
Hopefully players will identify the great value in a £20 tournament with hopefully in excess of £500 for the winner and still paying out to the top 8.
