Poolcomps web site "off-air" for maintenance
After a well publicised launch in 2006 with sponsorship of the EPBF's EuroTour, recognition from the WPA, and the establishing of a very popular affiliate programme, it appears that there may be problems at Poolcomps.com.
After promising $100,000 world tournaments at first, and boasting of being the "Home of the Official Online Pool World Championships", the prize funds were scaled down firstly to $10,000 and then to a more modest $500 tournament regime, albeit with 3 tournaments a day.
More recently they have completely suspended cash prize tournaments until further notice, and after refunding current player's fees, this latest development appears rather ominous for the Australian venture.

Korea Dominates Europe in 3-Cushion
Seoul, Korea- Korean TV network XTM aired the first ever XTM Billiards Cup with Team Korea taking on Team Europe in 3-Cushion. The teams were evenly matched with the Korea Team all professional pocket billiard players with carom backrounds while Europe had the versatile Mika Immonen, also a frequent carom player, teamed with eagle eyed ace Jasmin Ouschan, and their ace in the hole Semih Sayginer.
"With our line up and having Semih leading us, I really like our chances" said a confident Immonen referring to the rules where the Captain was allowed to coach the players and having Semih as the best carom player in the event.

L'Open du Valais 2007 unfolded at the W States Pool Club in Sion, Switzerland. This year we again innovated by founding two tournaments. Indeed, the principal tournament, with more than 10000 Swiss Francs prize-fund, as well as a tournament for the losers with more than 2000 Swiss Francs prize. The tournament played out over the 4 days of Thursday April 26 to Sunday April 29. This year we decided to Seed for the final stages on Sunday the 8 first of the Swiss Rankings, the best players of the club, the winner of last year Vincent Facquet and we also invited Yannick Beaufils who was vice champion of the world of English Pool in 2002.
