T9B players are going on tour to Holland for The Deurne City Classic
Saturday 28th March saw Total9ball fever ramp up again as the first ever qualifier took place in the UK for the Deurne City Classic. The DCC is by all accounts a brilliant event held annually in Holland, played on 28 recovered tables with in excess of 500 players from around the world competing. There is so much going on with 9ball, 10ball, Banks, One pocket, Ring games and cash games galore to name a few. T9B took the opportunity to contact the organisers in the Netherlands and agreed to help promote this event via a UK qualifier, where players could win sponsorship money towards attending this nonstop European pool festival.
Total9ball were very pleased with a turnout of 26 players all looking to make sure it was their name booked on the flight tickets to Eindhoven at the end of May. T9B decided to use the league stage format with each player competing in three league fixtures with 15 players advancing to the knock-out stage. Now why 15 player you ask? T9B calculated the money and announced we could send 5 players plus the winner of our side event the one rack shootout. This would mean the top 5 players after 3 matches would be seeded into the final qualifying round while the next 10 ranked players would have a playoff to reach the final qualifying match.

FOLLOWING A SELL-OUT event last year, tickets for the 2015 PartyPoker Mosconi Cup will be on sale from Thursday 26th March. Taking place from Monday December 7 to Thursday December 10, the Europe v USA showdown is hosted for the first time at The New Tropicana Las Vegas.
The defending champions are Team Europe who won their fifth consecutive title in Blackpool, England in December 2014. Now making its seventh appearance in Las Vegas, the Mosconi Cup is pool’s biggest brand and it features two five-man teams competing in a series of singles and doubles matches over the four days.
Last year, the Mosconi Cup sold out all 4,000 tickets within days of going on sale and Matchroom Sport chairman Barry Hearn believes that fans will have to move fast to snap up the tickets;
“Since the Mosconi Cup ended on December 4th, we’ve had a never-ending stream of enquiries as to when tickets would be available for MC XXII and now that day has arrived.
“The Americans badly need a win following the Europeans’ success over the past five years and one thing that will surely lift the team will be huge support at The New Tropicana Las Vegas.

Annual Europe v USA showdown set for Tropicana
THE NEW TROPICANA LAS VEGAS, arguably one of the most iconic brands on the Las Vegas Strip, will play host to the 22nd annual PartyPoker Mosconi Cup, which takes place from Monday December 7 to Thursday December 10.
Now making its seventh appearance in Las Vegas, the Mosconi Cup is pool’s biggest brand. Known as the ‘Ryder Cup of Pool’, it features two five-man teams representing the USA and Europe competing in a series of singles and doubles matches.
Televised throughout, the event is aired live in the UK and Ireland, Australia, the Middle East and the USA. In addition highlights packages will be aired in the likes of Holland, Italy, Canada and Germany, among others.

Total9ball was back again this weekend for Undisputed Judgement Day 2015. This was originally planned as a four event series with a Grand Final at the end, however T9B have made the decision to make it five single events. This enables us to offer impressive prize money at each event and it's less commitment for players that compete. Judgement Day is one of Total9ball’s showpiece events with a straight knock-out format, no handicaps, races to 15 racks and winner breaks. This really is an event with a great opportunity for players to gauge where their game is, as well as gaining lots of experience of tournament play, how to settle and feel comfortable during matches which is very valuable to all players.
The Hurricane Room in High Wycombe was selected as the venue for this fantastic event which attracted 22 players from all over the country.

GRANITE TURNS WALKER TO STONE IN MAIN EVENT
A thrilling opening event of the season saw two of the finest cueists in Great Britain fight it out for the Midlands Classic title of 2015, with Mark Gray and Darryn Walker making it to the climax of the main event.
Gray’s route to the final began in style, with a 9-0 win over Craig Seeney putting him through to meet Britain’s wheelchair #1 Aslam Abubaker. Gray once again put on a quality show and saw himself safely through to the last 32 with a 9 racks to 2 win. A total of two racks conceded in his opening two matches boded well for his chances, but Chris Cowie made sure he wasn’t having it all his own way. Gray still prevailed over Cowie, however, and a 9-5 win put Gray into the last 16 to face Ian McCormick. Perhaps cautious after his latest encounter, Gray stepped back up to top gear against McCormick and handed out a 9-1 thrashing. That result put him into a quarter final against Benji Buckley who, on paper at least, was sure to give Gray a tougher test. The ruthless form that Gray was showing continued and a 9-1 win over Buckley saw him into the semi finals. Conceding just nine racks in his opening five main event matches is probably an all time GB9 record, but his opponent in the final four was sure to put a few more racks onto that tally. None other than Tony Drago was standing in the way of Gray and a place in the final, but Gray held on for a tough 9-7 win over the Tornado to secure his place in the final of the 8th edition of the Midlands Classic.

Ashik Nathwani is successful and gets his choice of Euro Tour Events to attend
Total9Ball were back at High Wycombe Hurricane Room on Sunday 8th March 2015 for event 2 of the Euro Tour Qualifier Series sponsored by Dynamic Billard. 29 players in total supported this event with the league stage to knock-out format being used. The field contained many talented players with last event's Winner and Runner Up, Phil Wildman and Dale Cadet both in action. Add in Ashik Nathwani, Courtney Symons, Del Sim, Mark Foster, Mark Parker, Tom Staveley and many other talents. It was clear from the start this was going to be an open high class event. We were also pleased to welcome four new players to the T9B scene and they provided very positive feedback about the event which was brilliant to hear.
T9B founder Phil Wildman called all players to the tournament desk at 10.30am for a brief meeting in regards to the event rules and prize money breakdown with matches kicking off shortly afterwards. Each player was assigned the task of competing in three league stage matches with each hoping to score enough points to get themselves into the top 16 on the final league table.
