Grabe takes second in a row
Denis Grabe (EST) has just won the Dynamic Billard Slovenian Open Euro-Tour event in Portoroz, Slovenia. He defeated Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) with a clear 9:4 result.
Grabe took his first Euro-Tour title ever at the last Euro-Tour in St. Johann, Austria. Already there he defeated bis names like current 9-ball World Champion Niels Feijen (NED). Here again, Grabe got the better of players like Karl Boyes (GBR) 9:4, Albin Ouschan (AUT) 9:3, Marcus Chamat (SWE) 9:3 and in the final up and coming young Dutch player Marc Bijsterbosch (NED) 9:4. „I think I am really on a roll at the moment“, stated Grabe after the final match. „The victories do not come easy to me at all. They are hard work. But I am very confident at this point in time and I want to make use of it while it lasts“, added Grabe.

2014 World Cup of Pool - Euro Qualifier set for Slovenia
THE EUROPEAN QUALIFYING event for the 2014 World Cup of Pool gets underway tomorrow (Tuesday) in Portoroz, Slovenia with a first round match-up against China awaiting the victors. There are eight two-man teams taking part with the winning team gaining a sport at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth where the World Cup takes place from 23rd to 28th September.
With a $250,000 prize fund on offer, there will be everything to play for and the European qualifiers have got a superb record of upsetting the odds in recent years. Last year, Hungary KO’d China in the first round and then Russia to reach the quarter finals and in 2011 both Switzerland and Estonia turned the form book on its head when they beat China and England respectively in the first round in Manila.

Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggggg Osborne wins again
So the start of a new Total9Ball series and it was a great start for Craig Osborne as he proves once again just how talented he is. Total9Ball has listened to feedback and created a new Open Handicap Series. The entry fees on this occasion have been kept low to try to attract as many players as possible and although we had a good entry level of 23 for the first event, we hope more players support this brilliant new series. The basis behind this new series is to offer all players the opportunity to compete in regular events at different venues, playing a variety of formats and disciplines at an affordable price.
Total9Ball have decided however to make a few changes to the series to help things run better and not shut any players out. The Grand Final will not be open to players who have attended at least one event of this series, however Grand Finalists will be selected based on how many event each player attends as we do have a maximum amount of players for the Grand Final. So get supporting these events and book your place at the Grand Finals.

‘RETURN OF THE KING’ – MAHARAJA BACK TO WINNING WAYS
The penultimate event of this season’s GB 9 Ball Tour has reached its finale, with Imran Majid, Mark Gray, Mark Lunn and Adam Stevens claiming the silverware at the Daventry Court Hotel, Northamptonshire.
The 2014 Southern Masters final was contested once again by two of Britain’s finest cueists – Phil Burford looking for his maiden Southern Masters title, and Imran Majid looking for his third.
Majid was absent from the last event back in June due to his participation in the World 9-ball Championships, so he was determined to hit the ground running at this event. His opening contest saw him face leading Spaniard Juan Carlos Exposito in a tricky encounter, but Majid saw him off 10-6 to put himself through to the winners qualification bracket. Here he was to face Gary Bullocke, but his dazzling shirts didn’t replicate into dazzling pool as the Maharaja once again secured a 10-6 victory. This put him through to a last 16 encounter with Midlands Classic champion Chris Hall. It was another 10-6 scoreline and another win to Majid, a win which saw him into a quarter final tussle with Wolverhampton’s Darryn Walker. Majid saw that the business end was approaching and turned his game up a gear, seeing off Walker 10-4 and setting up a semi final against Italy’s Bruno Muratore. Majid’s dominance continued and he saw himself through 10 racks to 5, putting him into his first final since winning the GB9 British Grand Prix all the way back in November 2012.

2014 World Cup of Pool - Match Schedule Announced
WITH THE 2014 World Cup of Pool set for the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth from 23rd to 28th September, promoters Matchroom Sport can announce the schedule of matches for this prestigious $250,000 event.
There are 16 first round matches in total with two sessions a day and three matches per session. Sessions are at 12 noon and 6.00pm until the weekend when the afternoon session takes place at 1.00pm, while the evenings continue at 6.00pm.
Defending champions the Philippines – Dennis Orcollo and Lee Vann Corteza - are in action on the opening night when they face the best of South America in their quest for a fourth World Cup title. 2012 champions Finland, represented by Mika Immonen and Petri Makkonen, are also in action on the Tuesday night when they square off against Korea.
Wednesday evening sees a star-studded line-up as 2014 runners-up Holland, England A and the USA all enter the fray. Holland are represented by reigning World Champion Niels Feijen and Nick Van den Berg while England A comprise 2013 Mosconi Cup winners Darren Appleton and Karl Boyes. They face Sweden and Spain, respectively.
Earl Strickland, partnered by Shane Van Boening, will be making his first competitive visit to the UK since 2006 and his appearance will be eagerly anticipated. The final first round match on Thursday evening will see the well-supported Indian duo of Raj Hundal and Amir Khan goes up against England B – Daryl Peach and Chris Melling.

Symons Too Good as he adds The T9B UK Championships to his List of Honours
The Total9ball UK Amateur 10 Ball Championships took place at St Albans Hurricane Room on Sunday 10th August. 28 players battled for the title of UK 10ball Champion, the prize money and the simply stunning glass globe trophies. As always T9B used a format that guaranteed players a minimum of two matches for their entry fee. The format this time would be 10ball, winner breaks, double elimination to the last 16 players, 8 winners were then randomly drawn against the eight one loss players. Prize money began at the Quarter Final stage but who would be the player to hit form at this event???
Total9ball again assembled a very strong field with some of the best amateur players the UK has to offer including... Courtney Symons, Dave Evans, Fabio Severo, Mark Parker, Phil Wildman, Richard Twomey, Tom Staveley and Tony Burton to name a few.
Matches kicked off just before 10.30am after the draw was completed by Ashik Nathwani. Courtney Symons normally so strong at T9B events was the first eliminated player at the previous event so a good start was important for him to begin to rebuild some winning confidence, a 7v2 win against Dave Henderson done the trick as Courtney looked focused for the job ahead.

England's Darren Appleton capped off an amazing week of pool action by finishing off strong to capture his first ever World 14.1 title ! Appleton had lost in the finals last year, but sweetly rectified that with a resounding victory over America's #1 ranked Shane Van Boening. The Andy Cloth 74th World Tournament of 14.1 6 days of grueling pool stamina battles ended with spectacular performances by the world's greatest professionals.
The ANDY CLOTH World Tournament took place on August 4th-9th, 2014. Dragon Promotions and Dr. Michael Fedak were pleased to bring the 74th production of the oldest billiard event in the world . The Total9Ball Open Weekender Festival of Pool
Today is the day where T9B announces our first Open Weekender Event. Players of all standards are invited to join us for an event that will run through Saturday and Sunday. Mark Parker and myself Phil Wildman have worked very hard to put a weekend package together rammed full of events to encourage players of all standards to come and compete in the sport we love, there really is something for everyone.
Below is a list of events that will take place over the weekend and a brief description for each:
The Main Event – 9ball event, Double elimination played to the last 32/16 depending on entries. Matches race to 9 with no handicaps.
The Shark Shield – 10ball Event Open to players rated -5 to -1 ability. Straight Knockout. No handicaps. Matches race to 8 racks
The Minnows Medal – 10 ball event open to players rated 0 to +3. One/two rack handicap will be awarded where needed to keep things fair. Match races to 7, There will be no big fish in the small pond!
Blind Scotch Doubles – 9ball event, straight knockout event, players are drawn before each round therefore you will have a different partner in each round. Its random anyone can win
One Important rack. – 9ball one rack shootout. Straight knock-out until the last 8/16 (depending on numbers) at which point the event becomes a last man standing event all names in a bag. Draw who will be unlucky… the first drawn will have to beat the remaining field to cash. The last drawn will have to just win one rack to scoop the cash. It’s like a Royal Rumble of pool
The Break Dish – This is a separate event tickets will be on sale its £5 for three tickets or £10 for 10 tickets. Buy as many as you like to increase your chances of getting drawn. Each ball is given a value and there is a bonus for the clearance. After each shoot its decision time! stop and collect or carry on. Players will continue getting draw until the pot is small at that point the pot will be added to the events.
