Event 4 Report
The Total9ball Amateur Series rolled on to Event 4 this Saturday (22/03/2014). The jackpot was increased to a whopping 630 but unfortunately again it wasnt won. The jackpot will continue to increase until one player wins both sides of the draw taking the Winners, Runners Up and the accrued jackpot prize money.
28 players competed in what was Total9balls 53rd event in its successful 4 four year history. The field of players was bursting with talent all looking to lift the beautiful T9B glass trophy at the end of the event. Again we had many new faces but also some old faces from years ago including Martin Correia.
Unfortunately Mark Parker had some bad family news on Friday evening forcing him to miss his first event for well over two years. As there has been a Total9ball baby born, Mark has been taking on extra duties during the events and taking the equipment home. A massive thanks goes to Mark for keeping yesterdays event alive by bring all the equipment to the Hurricane Room before leaving shortly after to be back at home with his family.

Wilson names USA Squad
FOLLOWING ON from his appointment in January, 2014 USA PartyPoker Mosconi Cup captain MARK WILSON today names his squad of eight players who will be tasked with winning pools most prestigious team trophy for the first time since 2009.
Wilson has opted for a blend of experience and youth and his eight-man squad will be reduced down to the five who will travel to Blackpool, England at the end of November to contest the 21st annual Mosconi Cup.

Southern wins the first event of the 2014 BWPPA season
The BWPPA raised the curtain on the 2014 season on the 15th/16th March 2014 with the GNO Southern 9-ball Open held at the newly opened BWPPA/BWCSA Wheelchair Cue Sport Academy at Stoke Mandeville, this event is named after the main tour sponsor the Gentlemans Night Out charity.
We had a great turn out with 19 players entering the event, including Aleksandr Prokopiev who again made the long trip from Russia. We welcomed four new players to the tour, Keith Hance, Jimmy Major, Daniel Lee and Gary Nicholson, and it would be Nicholson who had the best showing at his first event.

The 7th GB9 Midlands Classic has come to its climax with Chris Hall, Craig Osborne, Damian Massey and Chris Fraser sharing the spoils at the Park Inn hotel in Telford, Shropshire.
With a new season upon us, it was time for many to sharpen their games and prepare for the seventh staging of a GB9 season. With the new two-tier Challenge Cup format and return of the Pro Cup, there was sure to be some tight and action packed pool during the weekend.

HALL BEATS THEM ALL FOR MAIDEN MAIN TITLE
The first main event final of the season saw Darlingtons Phil Burford come up against Wakefields Chris Hall. Both players have been stalwarts of the tour for a number of years now, and it was fitting that two such players should contest the first major showdown of the season.
Hall opened his account for the weekend in fine style, dispatching of Welshman Nathan James 9-0 in a mere 35 minutes to secure passage through to the last 32. Here he met two times defending Universities Pool Council 9-Ball champion Benji Buckley in a much closer affair. Hall came away victorious, however, with a solid 9-5 scoreline ensuring safe passage to the round of 16. His opponent, Dave Evans, suffered almost the same fate as Halls first opponent. 9-1 was the score in favour of Hall, taking the Yorkshireman through to a quarter final showdown with none other than Tony Drago. Smelling blood from his early exit in the World Snooker Welsh Open earlier in the week, a quarter final was the best he could manage here. An incredible match which Hall won 9-7 saw the pair share no less than SEVEN break and runs between them in a match that took just 66 minutes. Hall then had another high quality match in the semi-finals, this time against Ipswichs Craig Osborne.

Dynamic Billard European Championships forecast
From March 30th until April 9th, 2014, this years Dynamic European Championships for Men, Women and Wheelchair Athletes will be played in Hotel Acapulco in Kyrenia, North Cyprus.
The flagship event of the EPBF with numerous participants from countries all over Europe is already casting shadows. For almost two weeks, Kyrenia will be the epicenter of the European Pool scene. Titles will be up for grabs in straight pool, 8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball and team competition in the various disciplines (team and straight pool in men and women category only). According to the EPBFs head office in The Netherlands, currently almost all fields are filled with the maximum amount of participants. Over 33 countries will have their players representing their colors in the battle for European Champion titles.
Due to its wonderful location on the sunny island of North Cyprus, this European Championship could be perfectly combined with a holiday for the whole family. Sandy beaches, temperatures of over 20 C and the warm hospitality of the local people will make this pool billiard tournament a trip to remember. But even if you cannot make it there, you can still follow all the action of the Dynamic Billard European Championships. The event will be played on 24 Dynamic III match tables. It is planned to have all 24 tables in the Live stream. That means that every match can be viewed from fans and supporters in every part of the World. You can be part of the action and watch your player doing his/her best to take a shot at the title.
