ALCANO YIELDS TO PEACH IN PBB FACE OFF SERIES

Britain's Daryl "The Dazzler" Peach, pulled off an amazing come-from-behind 9-7 finish over Filipino cue master Ronato "Volcano" Alcano, to win the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face Off Series dubbed as "The Dazzler and The Volcano" late Saturday at the PAGCOR Airport Casino in Paranaque City.
The 39 years old Peach, a native of Castleford, West Yorkshire, England came back from 7-2 down winning seven straight racks after Alcano collapse in the end game.
"In the start of the match i'm so nervous when (Ronato) Alcano took a 7-2 lead," said Peach, who beat Alcano in the 2006 International Pool Tour (IPT) in Las Vegas, Nevada and 2007 World Pool (9-ball) Championships in Manila.
"However i didn't lose hope because of the winner's break format. Maybe it can turn around the situation but i need to play solid," added Peach, who became the first Englishman to capture the World Pool Championship title, beating Filipino qualifier Roberto "Pinoy Superman" Gomez, 17-15 in the finals match in the sports biggest tournament 2007 World 9-Ball at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

2nd Annual World Mixed Doubles - Qualifier
Some of the greatest women and men players in the world will arrive in China once again, this time to play together as a team at the 2nd Annual World Mixed Doubles! Global billiards promoter Dragon Promotions will be producing the event on November 30- Decemeber 2, 2011. This will be the first event produced in China by a foreign international company and working in cooperation with their local partner 9 Club Entertainment and sanctioned by the Chinese Billiards and Snooker Association. The event will pair the top men's and women's players together as a two-person team, with a total of 16 teams from around the world. Last year had top talents such as Mika Immonen, Shane Van Boening, Shanelle Loraine, Kaori Ebe and more competed in this unique and excting event. Efren "Magician" Reyes and Rubilen Amit of the Philippines won the inaugural first event.

Estonians show supremacy in Olympic-Online Baltic Pool League Final
This last weekend in Tallinn's Baribal Poolclub, the final event of the prestigious Olympic-Online Baltic Pool League 2011 (OOBPL) was held. To the delight of the home crowd as the first winners of this event were crowned Estonians Denis Grabe and Anna Grintśuk. The game was 10-ball and participants the best 32 men and 8 women of the overall OOBPL 2011 ranking. The winners are both real champions as the whole final event was played with single elimination and that means that there was no room for any errors.

2011 EVENT 5 - GB9 BRITISH GRAND PRIX
9-ball players from across the length and breadth of Great Britain will descend on Daventry in Northamptonshire for the last time this season as the 2011 edition of the GB 9 Ball Tour reaches its climax with the prestigious British Grand Prix.
This season feels as though it has come and gone in a flash and few players would argue otherwise. That said, this has been perhaps the most action-packed and wide open GB9 season since its inception back in 2008. As the fourth season of this increasingly fascinating and difficult tour comes to its conclusion, we'll look back here on some of the most memorable moments from the past 8 months.

FILIPINO BIADO LOSES TO SOUQUET IN PBB FACE OFF

FILIPINO Carlo "The Black Tiger" Biado failed to exact vengeance against German Ralf "Kaiser" Souquet in the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face Off Series dubbed as "The Prince versus The Emperor" late Saturday at the PAGCOR Airport Casino in Paranaque City.
The reigning World Pool Masters Champion Souquet asserted his dominance over 2011 BSCP National Pool Champion Biado, winning, 9-3, in the race-to-9 10-ball affair, was aired live over Solar Sports, Sky Channel 70 and Destiny Channel 34
and also aired worldwide through the Internet, live streaming at www.starbilliards.com.ph, www.megasportsworld.com and www.philippinebigtimebilliards.com.
The former WPA World 9-ball and 8-ball champion Souquet pocketed the $5,000 cash purse and kept his bragging rights over the Bugsy Promotions ace Biado. Souquet also defeated Biado twice with a 9-8 decision
during the Guinness 10-ball tour in Jakarta and the Philippine International Open 10-ball Championships in Manila last year.
Luck played a part in my victory. Carlo is a very tough opponent and I really had a hard time beating him, said Souquet, who also beat World No.1 and World 8-ball Champion Dennis "Robocop" Orcollo, 9-6, in the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face Off Series last week.

World Champ Jouni takes British title
The concluding tour stop of Europes largest wheelchair pool tour the BWPPA Dynamic Billiards tour was held at Rileys Wavertree with the British wheelchair 9-ball Championship, which attracted Jouni Tahti triple wheelchair 9-ball World Champion, who displayed why he is the #1 wheelchair player on the planet. First up for the Finn was Aslam Abubaker who was dispatched 7-3, before Tony Southern sent Tahti to the one-loss bracket with a 7-5 win.
Meanwhile Roy Kimberley, the UKs #1 wheelchair pool player started his campaign with a 7-2 win over John Greensmith, and followed that up with a victory over Phil Hendrickson 7-3. In the one-loss side Jouni Tahtis next opponent was Gary Swift, Tahti got back to winning ways with a comfortable 7-3 win.
