THOMAS Engert of Germany has won the 2007 PartyPoker.net World Pool Masters.
Engert sealed a stunning 8-5 victory in a high-quality final against Spain 's David Alcaide at the Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee. This becomes Engert's second Masters title after he had also claimed the glory in 2004.

The British Professional Pool Players Association (BPPPA) has announced today the cancellation of the 2007 U.K. 9 Ball Championships.
The tournament originally scheduled to be held at the magnificent City of Manchester Stadium (home to Manchester City F.C. and built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games) would have been the largest and most spectacular event of 9 Ball ever held in this country.

Many international players have gone to Italy this weekend to play in an event that has managed to slip under the radar - among the players are Daryl Peach, Andy Worthington, Karl Boyes and Tony Drago.
Today is the final day of play and the 35 entrants from Italy (24), England (3), Switzerland (2), Serbia (2), and one player each from France, Spain, Malta, and Croatia who have played double elimination so far, will now play the Last 16 stage onwards with a single elimination format to determine the eventual winner.

Mansfield Open 9-Ball Tournament
After a good turnout at the last tourny, we are holding another one on Saturday 7th July 2007. £10 entry and starts at 11am, and all entry fees will be returned as prize money.
Race to nine in the early rounds, and the final a race to eleven will hopefully attract the keener players, and the modest £10 entry fee should make everyone feel welcome, from beginners upwards.
Registration starts now (email the organiser at the address above) and continues until 10.30am on the day of the event where you can turn up and play.
