Paddy Mc Loughlin has been a successful snooker player for 10 years, during which time he has competed at junior, adult and professional levels. Now, aged 24, he has refocused his career toward the American style games of 8 and 9-ball pool, and aims to bring his proven cue-sports strengths to this new medium, aiming to become one of the world's very best players.
Paddy's natural talent was spotted at an early age when he competed on BBC1's "Junior Big Break" programme. He hasn't stopped playing since, and as an adult has played exhibition matches with Jimmy White, Tony Drago and Ken Doherty.

As Poolroom-owner, organizer and tournament director I'd like to welcome you all on this website, where you can find all the information you need about the 8th Annual Open Weert 9-ball Championship 2007.
Started in 2000 with our 1st edition that had more than 130 players back then. Last year at our 7th edition this number had increased to a record 356 players, which made the 7th Open Weert 9-ball Europe's biggest open 9-ball tournament. And again this year we will put all our effort into attracting a huge number of players to come to Weert.

A cue collecting article about a mythical cue?
I have the greatest story to tell (for cue freaks anyway).
In 1999, my wife Michelle was working in America for a few months. I went to join her for a couple of weeks, bit of a holiday, shoot some pool...and buy some cues (naturally). Anyway, I went into a cue shop (Why don't we have cue shops over here?) and picked up a catalogue from Cue and Case Sales. Cue and Case Sales are one of the largest distributors of cues and billiard products in the US. Contained within its pages was a section on Meucci Cues. Flicking through, one cue caught my eye.....a 97-30. It looked stunning. I have never described a Meucci like that. Ask Big Dave how I feel about them, lol!

Play on the VIPP table before the Pro Team League event
Pool enthusiast and regular Pro9'er Myra Curfs will be re-opening bar/restaurant “Gezellig Aan De Haven” in Scheveningen together with Jan Kuijpers (owner of Groene Hart Real estate).
Pool crazy and fond of cooking, Myra will have a VIPP pool table installed, a "Very Important Pool Players table".
We are all invited to the opening and are expected for drinks and snacks at 19.00 hours. In the harbour you will find free parking, and with the Pro Team League playing in Rotterdam the next day they're hoping and expecting a good turnout of players in the restaurant for the opening.

Uzzell lags in the Thailand Masters
Uzzell takes down Thailand Masters 9 Ball event.
Paul Elcombe arrived back from Bangkok recently and mentioned he was lucky enough to see Kevin Uzzell win the Thailand Masters.
In the final, Uzzell trailed 10-8 before winning the last 3 racks to take the 1000 GBP 1st prize.
The other finalist was a 21 year old Thai called Nittiwat, remember this lad, he's good, in the semi final he beat the 5th or 6th ranked Taiwanese player.

MAJID AND CORREIA TAKE THE HONOURS AT VICTORIA LEAGUE FINALE
A total of 28 runners plus Martin Correia who was the 2006 King of the Hill attended this special end of year handicapped event, the summation of a years endeavour for the Victoria league players.
The format was five rounds of 16 groups round robins. The group results are below.
There were a couple of players thought that they would not get far but surprised themselves with great performances like Soni and Ed Sumner.

2006 WPA World 8 Ball Championships Qualifier 2 Spots Available
A few people have asked how they can qualify for the Official World 8 Ball Championships (held for the last two years in Fujairah, one of the United Arab Emirates)... Well, here's how!
Conveniently located at the now familiar House Of Billiards in Weert, this event will be double elimination until the last 16, limited to 64 players and the entry fee is 100 Euros and the top two finishers qualify.
