Final Ranking for Team USA
FOLLOWING A nine event qualification series, the American team is now in place as they prepare themselves for a December assault on the PartyPoker Mosconi Cup. Having last won the coveted transatlantic pool silverware in 2009, this year’s team comprises the top five players on the ranking list.
Shane Van Boening was the first to qualify after yet another stellar year but the remaining four spots came down the US Open. Mike Dechaine was the first to qualify and then shortly after it was Corey Deuel’s turn as he took some impressive scalps to garner sufficient points.
The two wild card slots went to Justin Bergman, who enjoyed an excellent season while the final spot saw captain Mark Wilson pick rookie Skyler Woodward to ensure a baptism of fire at the Tropicana next month.

AMERICAN 14.1 CHAMPIONSHIPS - Report by Phil Capelle
The Final – Darren Appleton 150 – Thorsten Hohmann 94
This rematch between the two finalists of the World 14.1 Championship got off to a super slow start – especially considering the firepower that both brought to the table. After a secondary break shot left Appleton with no shot, and no safety, he took three straight fouls, losing 18 points. And Hohmann fouled as well, so after Appleton did manage to run the first rack, the score was tied at -1 to -1 in a game to 150 points.
Appleton went on to run 42 and lead after three racks, 27 to -1. The players traded opportunities before Hohmann ran 56 to lead, 81 to 29. Appleton ran 29, played a safety, then ran 27 more and was leading, 85 to 81 when he missed a tough shot after making the break shot.
Hohmann ran the remaining 13 to get to 94, but he missed the break shot and splattered the balls all over the table – and Appleton was off and running as he went on to win the match with an impressive run of 65 and out. Appleton is now a two time winner of this event while Hohmann has won it one time.

The day that Total9ball went all Veso
Total9ball was once again back at St Albans Hurricane Room on Saturday 17th October for the final event of the 2015 Amateur Series. 31 players in total battled for the final ranking points of the season to gain a better seeding for the Grand Final held at the same venue in a few weeks time. The top three players on the rankings after points from Event 8 were added would be paid out the £500 sponsored by the Hurricane Room (1st £250, 2nd £150 and 3rd £100) so it was all to play for. The winner of this event would also gain a space in the Champion of Champions event and avoid having to attend the Last Chance Saloon Champion Of Champions Qualifier on Saturday 14th November.
Matches kicked off at 10.30am and as the first balls were struck you could sense the tension in the room with so many players hoping today would be the day that they qualified for the big one. The T9B Champion Of Champions (Over £2000 Prize fund Max 16 players, double chance, £1500 Jackpot) Veselin Papradanov’s event began with an excellent 7v6 win against the talented Elliott Sanderson from Barnsley. Elliot trailed 6v1 but battled his way right back into the match. When the match reached hill-hill (6v6 to 7) Elliott was expected to go on and win the match but Veso gained perfect position on a relatively easy combo on the 9ball to win the match. Veso struck the shot with confidence as he powered the 9ball into the middle pocket for an impressive start to the proceedings. Veso followed this with another win as he controlled his match against Ryan Hamer winning 7 racks to 3.

The Maharaja reigns supreme in 2015 French Open
For the second year running, the French Open by Predator was won by a British player as Imran Majid battled through a strong international field to take the title. Majid performed solidly to win 11-7 in the final against Dutchman Marc Bijsterbosch, his reward a beautifully crafted trophy and the 2,100€ first prize.
The 2015 French Open by Predator welcomed 128 entries to the qualifying groups and final stage, with participation from players of 16 different nationalities. Taking place at Replay Billard in the eastern suburbs of Paris, the event was organised and streamed live by the Ebilliard team, led by tournament director Kem Sen.
Sen’s reaction reflected the general positive mood following a successful event: “We are very satisfied with the second edition of the French Open by Predator. The tournament ran smoothly and the full field is testament to the attraction of the tournament to players from France and neighbouring countries. Thanks to all the players, event sponsors, fans, the venue and the Ebilliard team for their hard work.”

The last weekend Mezz Cues Baltic Pool League tour entered Belarus. The venue was "Start" pool hall in the beautiful city of Minsk. Men division was won by local superstar Dmitriy Chuprov and women division by Russian Natalya Sierosthan.

Cohen triumphs in Kamui Battle hill-hill thriller
French number one Stephan Cohen took down the Kamui Battle challenge match by the finest of margins, with a 15-14 victory over Nick van den Berg last night at Replay Billard in the suburbs of Paris, France.
Willed over the line by French pool fans, Cohen was able to make the home advantage count, with some important runouts in pressure situations. His victory came just five days after he won the first French national tour event of the season in the same venue.
Cohen takes the 1,000€ prize as winner of the Kamui Battle, which was streamed live by Ebilliard and will be uploaded to YouTube shortly.
