The annual world snooker championship is now in full swing in Sheffield, England,.In the meanwhile, the first station of the largest professional tournament of Chinese Eight Ball all over the world-- “the Grand Epoch City ·Joy Cup” 2015 World Chinese Eight Ball Masters is beginning. International news services BBC keenly noticed the emerging power--Chinese Eight ball when delivering an in-depth report about the current situation of Chinese billiards by taking Ding as an example .”Chinese Eight Ball is to be the top challenger and competitor of snooker ” BBC reported.
Ding claimed the title of China Open Champion as a wild-card entrant and defeated the billiards emperor Stephen Hendry who was in his prime time of career,and then Chinese players become among the highest in the world.Since then,snooker in China welcomes a trend for rapid development and the landscape of snooker in the world is altered. What’s more, being the mooring to goods, snooker could not agree with the situation of China.On the contrary, Chinese Eight Ball, which has been rooted in national culture, become more and more popular among ordinary people.
However, there are lots of difficulties in the development history of Chinese Eight Ball.It develops very fast in folk, but it merely does not have it’s own voice in media.Late in 2012,national trials that has been held for 6 years succeeded to become international masters and invite some famous international stars including Hendry and Potts with the continues efforts of the leader of Chinese Eight Ball--Joy. Therefore the first layout of the internationalization of Chinese eight ball has been completed. Then the tournament of Chinese Eight Ball is broadcast on live on CCTV5 for the first time.

Chamat enters fray as race hots up
MARCUS CHAMAT, who was recently named as captain of the 2015 European PartyPoker Mosconi Cup team is on course to land one of the three automatic spots following a runners-up spot in the recent Portuguese Open on the Euro Tour.
The 39 year-old Swede was beaten by Poland’s Mateusz Sniegocki in the championship match, but the 16 pts earned coupled with his existing points tally, move him to a tie for first in the Combined Ranking along with David Alcaide (Spain) and Holland’s Niels Feijen.
There are three separate ranking lists in operation – the first comprised of a five event Euro Tour series; the second a four event ‘World’ series and the last a combined ranking of the two.
Feijen (Holland) leads the Euro Tour ranking while Spain’s David Alcaide, a European team member in 2006, heads up both the ‘World’ list following his semi-final finish at the WPA World 10 Ball Championship in the Philippines in February.

Preview: 2015 GB9 Paul Medati Trophy, the Rasson Billiards Pro Cup & Challenge Cup
The 7th tournament in memory of the late Paul Medati will be contested this coming weekend at the fabulous Park Inn by Radisson hotel in Telford, Shropshire.
Whilst all GB9 main events carry the same number of ranking points to players, there are a number who consider this as the most prestigious tournament in the GB9 calendar. Being first contested in 2009 after Paul’s untimely passing, the tournament offers players and fans alike the chance to remember one of the most loved and talented players on tour. Paul’s loss still lays heavy in the mind of those who played both alongside and against him, and this is sure to bring out the best in those determined to win the tournament in his memory.
The tournament weekend also incorporates the second Rasson Billiards Pro Cup of the season and the third Mark Lovell Challenge Cup competition. After Mark passed away late in 2011, GB9 wanted to honour Mark’s memory on tour in a similar manner to that of Paul Medati. With both players being amongst the most respected during their times on tour, it was felt right that the two competitions would take place on the same weekend. The inaugural tournament, won by Courtney Symons in 2012, is now running alongside the Paul Medati Trophy for the fourth consecutive year.
GB9 ON THE TV!
In a first for the GB 9 Ball Tour, coverage from the Paul Medati Trophy will be broadcast on the brand new Big Centre TV channel on Freeview. The channel is available to Midlands viewers in England on Freeview channel 8 and also to viewers online. Big Centre TV will be showing coverage from all stages of Saturday’s play in the main event - details of broadcast dates from these matches will be available after the tournament.

Total9ball was back at in St Albans yesterday for Event Three of their eight event Amateur Series sponsored by Dynamic Billard and Hurricane Room. For the third amateur series event running we had the full quoter of 32 players signed up and paid over a week before the event was due to be played which was excellent. This was also especially good because regular players Ashik Nathwani, Aslam Abubaker, Dave Evans and Tom Staveley were all away at the Dynamic Euro Tour event in Portugal.
The first seven matches of Event Three kicked off at 10:30am and with the field containing only four minus handicap players, was this a great opportunity for the minus players to show their skills on the table or would it be one of the practiced and vastly improving plus handicap players who took this event down? Would we have another new winner? Would we have another big break dish winner?

Ouschan and Sniegocki defeat them all!
Jasmin Ouschan (AUT) and Mateusz Sniegocki (POL) have just won the Dynamic Billard Portuguese Open Euro-Tour in Vale do Lobo, Portugal.
The women’s division was once again dominated by Jasmin Ouschan. She made her way through the tournament undefeated and trounced Line Kjoersvik (NOR) in the final match with 7:3. On her way to the final match, Ouschan defeated Natalya Seroshtan (RUS) 7:6, Barbara Bolfelli (ITA) 7:0, Tamara Peeters (NED) 7:6, Kristina Tkach (RUS) 7:2 and Louise Furberg (SWE) 7:1. The final match with Kjoersvik was business as usual in the beginning. Ouschan took an early lead and Kjoersvik did not seem to be able to find any means against her. Then suddenly, Kjoersvik benefited from several mistakes from Ouschan and managed to tie the match at 3:3. The Norwegian took a time-out at that stage which probably worked better for her opponent than for herself. When she cam back, she could not do anything else but watch Ouschan win rack after rack. In the final 10th rack, Ouschan came up with a spectacular finish. The ball on was the 3-ball. It was lying close to the rail and would not go into any pocket. Ouschan played onto the 3-ball and the cue ball kissed the 9-ball which made its way into the corner pocket. That brought Ouschan the victory in the match and the tournament. „I am really happy with that victory“, stated Ouschan“ but I am also really exhausted. I have played so many matches in the last few weeks on the Amway Cup, the European Championships and the Euro-Tour, and I am really looking forward to going home and relax a bit“, said a happy but obviously exhausted Ouschan.

Victoria Warehouse set to host Masters
MANCHESTER WILL play host to the 23rd annual PARTYPOKER WORLD POOL MASTERS as the sport’s longest running invitational event takes place at the landmark Victoria Warehouse from Friday to Sunday 14th to 16th August.
Following a successful running in Nottingham last year that saw America’s Shane Van Boening claim his first international title, the Masters heads north. Situated just a few hundred yards from Manchester United’s home grown, the Victoria Warehouse was built in the early 20th century, and is a unique, innovative event space right at the heart of one of Europe’s most exciting cities, Manchester.
The listed building has been meticulously renovated to merge a proud historic heritage with a modern style and will make a perfect venue for the Masters.
With the field of the world’s top talents set to be announced, tickets will be available very soon.

Shane and Bergman maintain top spots
FOLLOWING THE Super Billiards Expo 10 Ball Championship which concluded at the weekend, Shane Van Boening maintained his lead at the top of the 2015 PartyPoker USA Mosconi Cup ranking.
Van Boening was the highest placed American, finishing in fourth spot and has now opened up a 23 point lead over his nearest rival, Justin Bergman who kept his second spot with a 17th place finish. Scott Frost, who has yet to compete in a Mosconi Cup, edged his way into the shake-up as he leap-frogged both Jeremy Sossei and Skyler Woodward to claim a tie for second.
