European Team Selection - Top three players and two wild cards
WITH THE annual PartyPoker Mosconi Cup set for 7th to 10th December in the USA, Matchroom Sport can announce the selection criteria for the European side as they contemplate a sixth consecutive victory in the annual transatlantic 9 ball show down.
Having conceded just seven matches in the last two runnings, confidence will be sky high for the five players who don the coveted blue shirts in 11 months time. Like 2014, the qualification process will feature three separate ranking lists – European, World and a Combined.
1. No.1 ranked player on the five event Euro Tour Series.
- Italian Open, 26-28 February
- Portugal Open, 23-25 April
- German Open, 4-6 June
- Austrian Open 30 July - 2 Aug
- Dutch Open 30 Sept - 3 Oct
2. No.1 ranked player on the four event World Series.
WPA World 10 Ball Championship, 15-21 February.
China Open, TBC June
WPA World 9 Ball Championship, 7-18 September
US Open 9 Ball Championship, 25-31October
3. No.1 ranked player on a Combined World and Euro Tour Series ranking list.
In the event that a player tops all three ranking lists, then the second placed players on the Euro Tour and World Rankings respectively would take the other two spots. If a player is top of the Euro Tour list and Combined list, or World list and Combined list, then the available spot would go to the next highest player on the Combined list.

Evans is the man at T9B Dynamic Euro Tour Qualifier Event One
The Total9Ball 2015 season kicked off on Saturday 17th January and what a cracker of an event this was. T9B late last year renewed their relationship with Dynamic Billard of Germany. T9B players were rewarded yesterday for their ongoing support of our events with the first edition of the new Dynamic Billard Euro Tour Qualifiers. In total there will be three of these special events staged between The Hurricane Room clubs in High Wycombe and St Albans. Event One was held at St Albans on their newly clothed tables and there was a certain buzz in the venue as all players were keen to make sure it would be them that lifted the trophy at the end of the event.
The format used was one league table with each player participating in three random tense matches. After all players completed their matches the top 12 players ranked on matches-won followed by racks-won would advance to the knock-out stage. The top four ranked players would automatically begin the knock-out stage in the Quarter Finals and the next eight ranked players would be placed in the preliminary round.
