 Pro9 Where did Moneybattle come from?
 MoneyBattle Team MoneyBattle was created from 4 guys who love pool. We are all part of the pool circuit in someway, avid followers of pool in general and have many pool friends around Europe. We have all taken part in national championships, European tours and many national team and individual competitions so we know a lot of guys around the pool scene. Due to this we often hear, see or even take part in money games, some for big money. However we realised that not many people get to see these great games. Money games are a lot different to the normal competition games we play, so it brings out a different player and increases the pressure immensely. This is great for spectating and means anything can happen and any shot can be missed. We decided that it would be a great idea to showcase money games from around Europe with some of the local and top players in the game. From this MoneyBattle was created.

Official Preview: 2014 GB9 British Grand Prix
The 2014 GB9 season will reach its climax as the tour returns to the Daventry Court Hotel, Northamptonshire for this season’s coveted British Grand Prix.
After some mouth-watering clashes across the season, the seventh year of GB9 competition is fast reaching its conclusion. We have once again seen many of Britain’s finest professional and amateur players alike battling it out to see who really is the best of the best. With four different players – Chris Hall, Mark Gray, Phil Burford and Imran Majid – winning this season’s four main events, little more proof is needed as to the strength in depth of the tour. Also with two regular GB9 players, Mark Gray and Karl Boyes, confirmed for Europe in this season’s Mosconi Cup, the quality of the tour professionals simply cannot be argued.
However, the future of the tour is well and truly in the hands of players both old and new. Now, more than ever, players need to come out and back what is still regarded as one of the toughest national tours on the planet, and few will argue that the tournament conditions at GB9 events are second to none. This however understandably comes at a cost, and GB9’s commercial agreements are not sustainable without the support of 96 members signed up for the 2015 season by the deadline of 30 November 2014. Present GB 9 Ball Tour players and aspiring players alike are encouraged to support the tour and sign up for the 2015 season. All input from past, present and future players is welcome, and if there’s anything you want to see from your tour then make your voice heard. Tom 'The Don' Staveley too good in Amateur Series Event 10
Total9Ball was back at the Hurricane Room in St Albans on Saturday 25th October for the final qualifying event of the Amateur Series 2014. This was Event 10 and coming into this event three players were still in with a chance of becoming Total9Ball's number one player for 2014. Those players were Mark Parker, Phil Wildman and Tony Burton. Wildman and Burton were tied for the number one spot before this event kicked off with Parker on their tails just 10 points behind, with 50 points being awarded for attending the event and 10 points per match won, it really was all to play for. A brilliant 33 players were in attendance to support this fantastic series and there was also the little matter of the £700 break-dish side event, would we get a big winner at this event?

Appleton and Boyes make up the Euro five for Blackpool
WITH JUST OVER five weeks until the start of the 21st annual PartyPoker Mosconi Cup, Darren Appleton and Karl Boyes are named as the final two members of the European side charged with defending the title at the Tower Circus, Blackpool from 1st to 4th December.
With seven previous Mosconi Cup appearances between them including six on the winning side, both players bring plenty to the table as Team Europe look towards their fifth consecutive win in the annual Europe v America 9 ball battle.
Appleton, who made his debut in 2009 as Europe crashed to defeat, has been an ever-present in the side since, racking up a 52% win percentage from 29 matches.
Commented Appleton, “I’m so excited to be picked! The last few days have been so stressful and I’ve not slept very well. I've been thinking about it every minute of the day since the US Open and I feel the Mosconi Cup has taken over my life - it's that big and that exciting.

A Free Online Pool Game with an Event-Oriented Social Network
Celeris has released Virtual Pool 4 Online, a free 3D online pool game and an event-oriented social network with tournaments, ladders, a calendar of events, and a pool lobby where you can chat with your friends. The gaming platform lets you play 28 games including 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Snooker, Billiards, and Pub Pool.
The games let players compete in tournaments or play with friends. Tournaments run continuously, and include single and double-elimination formats. To ensure a high level of competition for all players from novice to champion, some tournaments are restricted to players of a certain skill rating, and others have handicapping.
The Virtual Pool 4 Online website is a social network that keeps players connected with friends and events. In addition to player profiles, friends lists, tournament sign-ups, a calendar of upcoming events, rankings, and statistics information, players can also view tournament brackets and real-time match scores. Players can find friends and enter their pool rooms with a single click. Players can even upload great shots to share with other players.

Draw and schedule set for 22nd Masters
REIGNING PARTYPOKER World Pool Masters champion Niels Feijen begins his title defence against European No.8 Daniele Corrieri of Italy when the 22nd annual Masters takes place at the Portland Centre in Nottingham from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th November.
With 16 top players from around the world, there are some exciting first round matches as the quest for the title, and the $20,000 top prize gets underway. 2009 champion and last year’s runner-up Darren Appleton faces 2008 winner Alex Pagulayan, while the Englishman’s World Cup of Pool partner Karl Boyes faces a potential banana-skin in Qatari danger man Waleed Majid.
Recent US Open champion Shane Van Boening faces Aussie youngster James Georgiadis while Dennis Orcollo, a replacement for Francisco Bustamante who is unable to travel, faces a tough one in world-class Englishman Chris Melling.
Other intriguing match-ups see double World 9 Ball champ Thorsten Hohmann face Greek Mosconi Cup star Nikos Ekonomopoulos while Mika Immonen takes on England’s Mark Gray.

Star-studded field set for Nottingham
WITH THE 22nd annual PartyPoker World Pool Masters set for the Portland Centre in Nottingham from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th November, promoters Matchroom Sport have assembled a star-studded field from around the world to contest one of the sport’s most prestigious events.
16 of the best pool players in the world will be gathered in the heart of England to try and add their name to the pantheon of all-time greats who have held the Masters trophy aloft.
There is a $66,000 prize fund at stake and World Champions, US Open Champions, European Champions as well as the very best players from all four corners of the globe will be vying for the Masters crown.
Defending champion and reigning WPA World 9 Ball winner Niels Feijen will be back to defend his crown. Also aiming for his first ever Masters title is Shane Van Boening, who just made history as he won his third consecutive US Open title and fourth overall.
Other WPA World Champions competing are four legends of the game; Thorsten Hohmann, Francisco Bustamante, Alex Pagulayan and Mika Immonen.
Home hopes will rest with four players who have all had great seasons one way or another. Darren Appleton is the most titled player in UK pool history with two US Opens as well as two WPA World Championships on his resume. Karl Boyes, who along with Appleton won the recent World Cup of Pool, is a former WPA World 8 Ball Champion.
