Longest artistic billiard marathon ever attempted!
Pro9's favourite European trick shot sensation, Florian "Venom" Kohler, is attempting the world's longest ever artistic billiards marathon, along with fellow artists, Bastien Panis and Benoît Clement.
The trio of super-talented billiard experts are aiming to set a massive 25 hour endurance record for artistic billiards, and 100% of the money raised by their efforts will be going to charity in aid of medical research.
The "Telethon" style event will be video streamed live from Mulhouse in Eastern France, near the meeting of the German and Swiss borders, and aims to be the longest artistic billiard marathon ever attempted, and should be a real treat for viewers... Especially when you consider that the legitimate preview of Florian's DVD has now become the most viewed billiards video on YouTube, amassing over 500,000 views, and still climbing! (An illegal copy of the whole video, pirated and published on a Chinese "youtube" style video site has racked up an amazing 14 million views in total - denying Kohler of a fortune in DVD sales, but setting him up with a formidable "reference" on his CV for broadcasters around the world).

UPC Nine-ball Championships 2011-12

The weekend of the 25-27 November 2011 sees 46 teams and around 150 university nine-ball players arrive in Liverpool to battle it out for the UPC Nine-ball Team and Individual Championships. This event has grown dramatically in the last eight years since its inception and will be played across two fantastic Riley’s venues – Grand Central and Wavertree. With participation levels broadly the same as last year, the event continues to boast the title of the biggest annual nine-ball event in the UK.
The team event will continue to use the Championship/Trophy format with the bonus of a ‘second chance’ that double elimination offers. The Individual event will feature a random redraw from each round from the last 32 to intensify the drama as the competition draws to conclusion.

ALCANO YIELDS TO PEACH IN PBB FACE OFF SERIES

Britain's Daryl "The Dazzler" Peach, pulled off an amazing come-from-behind 9-7 finish over Filipino cue master Ronato "Volcano" Alcano, to win the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face Off Series dubbed as "The Dazzler and The Volcano" late Saturday at the PAGCOR Airport Casino in Paranaque City.
The 39 years old Peach, a native of Castleford, West Yorkshire, England came back from 7-2 down winning seven straight racks after Alcano collapse in the end game.
"In the start of the match i'm so nervous when (Ronato) Alcano took a 7-2 lead," said Peach, who beat Alcano in the 2006 International Pool Tour (IPT) in Las Vegas, Nevada and 2007 World Pool (9-ball) Championships in Manila.
"However i didn't lose hope because of the winner's break format. Maybe it can turn around the situation but i need to play solid," added Peach, who became the first Englishman to capture the World Pool Championship title, beating Filipino qualifier Roberto "Pinoy Superman" Gomez, 17-15 in the finals match in the sport’s biggest tournament 2007 World 9-Ball at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

2nd Annual World Mixed Doubles - Qualifier
Some of the greatest women and men players in the world will arrive in China once again, this time to play together as a team at the 2nd Annual World Mixed Doubles! Global billiards promoter Dragon Promotions will be producing the event on November 30- Decemeber 2, 2011. This will be the first event produced in China by a foreign international company and working in cooperation with their local partner 9 Club Entertainment and sanctioned by the Chinese Billiards and Snooker Association. The event will pair the top men's and women's players together as a two-person team, with a total of 16 teams from around the world. Last year had top talents such as Mika Immonen, Shane Van Boening, Shanelle Loraine, Kaori Ebe and more competed in this unique and excting event. Efren "Magician" Reyes and Rubilen Amit of the Philippines won the inaugural first event.

Estonians show supremacy in Olympic-Online Baltic Pool League Final
This last weekend in Tallinn's Baribal Poolclub, the final event of the prestigious Olympic-Online Baltic Pool League 2011 (OOBPL) was held. To the delight of the home crowd as the first winners of this event were crowned Estonians Denis Grabe and Anna Grintśuk. The game was 10-ball and participants the best 32 men and 8 women of the overall OOBPL 2011 ranking. The winners are both real champions as the whole final event was played with single elimination and that means that there was no room for any errors.

2011 EVENT 5 - GB9 BRITISH GRAND PRIX
9-ball players from across the length and breadth of Great Britain will descend on Daventry in Northamptonshire for the last time this season as the 2011 edition of the GB 9 Ball Tour reaches its climax with the prestigious British Grand Prix.
This season feels as though it has come and gone in a flash and few players would argue otherwise. That said, this has been perhaps the most action-packed and wide open GB9 season since its inception back in 2008. As the fourth season of this increasingly fascinating and difficult tour comes to its conclusion, we'll look back here on some of the most memorable moments from the past 8 months.
