11th Annual Predator International 10-Ball Championship
Yalin Tables will be the Official Table at the Predator International Championships. The long running event is in its 11th year and the field is filling up fast with top notch pro talent. Predator's premiere event is produced by Dragon Promotions and will take place September 15 - 18, 2011 at Robinson's Galleria Mall in Manila, Philippines. The event is co-sponsored by Andy Cloth, Pool & Billiard Magazine, Aramith Balls, Robinson's Galleria, Magic 89.9 Radio, Philippines Star Newspaper, and network partners ABS-CBN and ESPN Star Sports.
Some of the notable names joining include Finland's Mika Immonen (2002 Winner), Filipino Dennis Orcullo (2009 Winner), Recent Poison DP Classic Champ Charlie Williams of the United States, Reigning US Open 9-Ball Champion Darren Appleton of England with his pal China Open Champion Chris Melling, France's 2009 World Tournament of 14.1 Champ Stefan Cohen, Duo World 8-Ball & 9-Ball Champion Wu Chia Ching, and many more.

1st Annual Straight Pool Hall of Fame
Three time World 14.1 Champion Ray "Cool Cat" Martin and 14.1 Continuous inventor Jerome Keogh will be the very first inductees into the 1st Annual Straight Pool Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place August 31,2011 at 5pm during a dinner banquet at the Hyatt Regency Hotel during the 71st World Tournament of 14.1. Keogh will be inducted posthumously while Martin will be there live to accept his award and speak. Even better than that, Martin will participate in the World Tournament as a competitor at age 76.
"Its a great honor to be inducted. Its nice that people still alive will be inducted as well in the future . That's really the way it should be. Get them in before they die! Let them enjoy it!" said Martin. Ray won the World Tournament in 1971, 1974, and 1978. Martin also won numerous 9-Ball titles as well and was the author of the famed 99 Critical Shots instructional pool book.
"There were many factors on why we decided to start this inaugural Straight Pool Hall of Fame. We wanted to honor not only obvious choices, but to remember great players that are still alive and remind them that they are not forgotten. They are living treasures of the sport. Also, we wanted to recognize those who may not receive recognition elsewhere, but were huge parts of 14.1 history. In the future we plan on inducting several people at once. But this year having Ray Martin and Jerome Keogh will be a great start", said Charlie Williams, Founder of Dragon Promotions.

Mohegun Sun hosts Pro Billiards Extravaganza of the Year
Champions from around the world will go head-to-head in a three-day extravaganza of professional billiards. The INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE OF CHAMPIONS, INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS and WORLD CUP OF TRICK SHOTS will be held October 25 – 27 at Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, CT.
The three events are widely considered the toughest tournaments to win in professional billiards. Once each year international champions are brought together in sudden-death shootouts with pressure-cooker formats and the highest prize money in special events. The winners claim one of the most coveted titles in pool – Champion of Champions!
On October 25 the INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE OF CHAMPIONS includes top stars in the sport. Mika Immomen, from Finland, returns to defend his crown as 2010 Champion of Champions. Darren Appleton, 2010 Player of the Year, will represent England. Yukio Akagariyama, 2011 World 9-Ball Champion, will represent Japan. Huidji See, 2011 World 10-Ball Champion, will represent the Netherlands.

Rules of the Game
POOL 300™ is a points game where each object ball counts one point. Rack ten balls according to the appropriate pattern on the score sheet. The player is allowed two tries to pocket (run) all ten balls.
During the first try (inning), the balls must be pocketed in numerical order. During the second inning, the balls may be pocketed in any order.
Break from behind the head string. All balls pocketed count and remain down unless a scratch or any other foul occurs, in which case the pocketed object balls are spotted.
First Inning After the break, take ball in hand anywhere on the table to start the first inning. Pocket the balls in numerical order. It is not necessary to hit the lowest number balls first, but the lowest number must be pocketed. Failure to pocket the lowest number ball or any foul ends the inning. If all ten balls are run (pocketed), the score is a strike and that player's frame in finished. If fewer than ten balls are run then record the number legally pocketed, and begin the second inning. If the inning ends on a scratch or foul, then any object ball pocketed on the foul shot must be spotted before scoring the first inning and before beginning the second inning.

A story of success
The Euro-Tour was founded by the EPBF in May 1992. Since then, it has been organized continuously each year with an amount of five to seven events annually. The Tour has stopped in almost every European country so far and has undergone some changes in its structure during the years to come to today’s format. Nowadays, between 200 and 256 player per tournament compete for the titles and the Euro-Tour can be named as the toughest tournament to win with the strongest fields worldwide.
