PRO SERIES DRAW AND REVIEW
The draw has been made for the upcoming Pay per view event that features the top stars from the IPA and snooker legend Jimmy White, going head to head in this unique competition.
The draw has thrown up some fascinating match ups, and our ‘experts’ give us their views on each one.
“Never an easy task working out who will or won’t win a pool match regardless of the number of frames involved, but after lockdown when we have no idea of current form, life gets that little bit harder.
Add in the fact that I know all the players (with the exception of Jimmy White) and will take plenty of ribbing for my opinions, and I am caught between a rock and a hard place, but work is work and we rumble on regardless. Four matches to start with – but who do I think will win, and why?

Draw Made For World Cup Of Pool
Austria will begin their World Cup of Pool title defence against Slovakia, while hosts Great Britain A will face debutants Belarus in the first round of the doubles tournament, which begins on Sunday, May 9 at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes, live on Sky Sports.
Among the standout first-round ties is Great Britain B (Kelly Fisher & Allison Fisher) against three-time champions Philippines (Roberto Gomez & Jeff De Luna), while 2019 semi-finalists Spain will face Italy.
The 16 seeded teams were automatically placed into the draw brackets, with 16 unseeded teams drawn at random. The draw is set for the whole tournament, with some mouth-watering potential second-round match ups including USA vs. Philippines.
Defending champions Austria (Albin Ouschan & Mario He) also lifted the World Cup in 2017 and could become the first pairing to win the trophy three times.

 | The Best Tips for Betting on Pool Billiards |
The Best Tips for Betting on Pool Billiards
When you think about gambling online and betting on sports, it's unlikely that you immediately think of pool billiards. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't have a bet on billiards. It's an exciting and fast-paced sport, and you can enjoy it by live-streaming it from a reputable new bookmaker online like the UK ones at Find Betting Sites. Pool is a funny old game and has many variants and different rules. Moreover, the fact that it can be played in a pub means that many amateur players fancy themselves as decent players!
However, it would help if you viewed pool more like snooker and appreciate the significant difficulty of getting your angles right and winning a frame. Playing pool with your mates in the pub is excellent fun, but so is betting on some of the big pool championships that are competed in different parts of the world (mainly in the US and Qatar). Here are some top tips to consider when placing your bets if you're new to betting on pool billiards.

Choose a reputable bookmaker
This isn't specific to pool and should be at the top of your priority list when placing a bet online. To make sure your money is safe and secure, you should choose a reputable bookmaker with which to place your bet. It's widely accepted that William Hill is the best bookmaker to place bets with in the pool billiards market. This is because they have the most advanced markets before the major pool tournaments and the most in-depth in-play markets when the competition is underway.
Know which type of pool you're betting on
There are many different types of pool, so you need to make sure you know what kind of game you're betting on. The most common market available to UK gamblers is nine-ball billiards. If you're new to gambling on pool, you should perhaps keep your bet simple until you become familiar with the complex rules. A straightforward bet on which player will win an individual match is an excellent place to begin until you become more confident within the market.

Ouschan Wins Inaugural Predator Championship League Pool
WINNERS’ GROUP FINAL
Albin Ouschan 5–1 David Alcaide
SEMI-FINALS
Eklent Kaci 2-5 Albin Ouschan
Chris Melling 2-5 David Alcaide
Albin Ouschan became the inaugural Predator Championship League Pool winner when he defeated David Alcaide 5-1 in the tournament final at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes.
The final was Ouschan’s 52nd match of the tournament. The Austrian began the event in Group 1 last Monday and a rollercoaster week saw him lose in two finals and two semi-finals before he eventually won Group 6 on Saturday. Even in Winners’ Group, he had to win the final three racks of his last match against Niels Feijen to reach the play-offs.
After defeating Mosconi Cup team-mate Eklent Kaci 5-2 in the semi-finals, Ouschan ran the first rack of the final and doubled his lead over Alcaide in the next. That meant he was breaking for a 3-0 advantage in the race-to-5 and a good break meant he only had five balls to pot to extend his lead.
Alcaide pulled one back but Ouschan used his break in the fifth to reach the hill. World Pool Masters champions Alcaide then broke dry and Ouschan didn’t need a second invite to clear the table and land his first Matchroom singles title.
“I am speechless,” said Ouschan, who accumulated prize money of $16,200 during the event. “When I think about my performance over the whole week there were many, many ups and downs, everything was there.

Bijsterbosch Completes Predator Championship League Pool Winners’ Group
GROUP 7 FINAL
Marc Bijsterbosch 5-3 Mieszko Fortunski
SEMI-FINALS
Denis Grabe 3-5 Marc Bijsterbosch
Alex Kazakis 0-5 Mieszko Fortunski
Marc Bijsterbosch snapped off the final spot in Predator Championship League Pool Winners’ Group by beating Mieszko Fortunski 5-3 in the Group 7 final at Stadium MK, Milton Keynes.
Bijsterbosch will join Chris Melling, Eklent Kaci, David Alcaide, Niels Feijen, Naoyuki Oi and Albin Ouschan in Winners’ Group which begins at 12 noon (UK time) on Monday, battling it out to be crowned inaugural Predator Championship League Pool champion.
Fortunski, having whitewashed Alex Kazakis 5-0 in his semi-final, took the first rack of the final, which went according to break until the fifth. At that point Bijsterbosch, a 5-3 semi-final winner against Denis Grabe, came out on top in a safety battle to lead 3-2. Breaking in the sixth, Bijsterbosch ran out to reach the hill.
Poland’s Fortunski, who began in this event in Group 2, ran out the next rack to halve his deficit. But Bijsterbosch broke powerfully and left himself with a roadmap to victory in the eighth. With three balls down off the break the Dutchman was six shots from Winners’ Group but he under hit position to the 4. However, he recovered well and completed the rack for a place in tomorrow’s tournament finale.
“It feels amazing to win the final group,” said Bijsterbosch. “I started the group with two wins but I lost my third match 5-4 and everyone had won two games, so I felt some pressure.

Relieved Ouschan Joins Predator CLP Winners’ Group At Sixth Attempt
GROUP 6 FINAL
Alexander Kazakis 0-5 Albin Ouschan
SEMI-FINALS
Alexander Kazakis 5-1 Marc Bijsterbosch
Albin Ouschan 5-2 Billy Thorpe
A mightily relieved Albin Ouschan finally made it through to Predator Championship League Pool Winners’ Group at the sixth attempt when he beat Alexander Kazakis 5-0 in the Group 6 final on Saturday evening, avoiding having to play his sister Jasmin in Group 6 in the process.
The Austrian former World Champion started the tournament in the very first group and had played two finals and two further semi-finals before this group. During the round-robin league phase he won four of his six matches, before defeating Billy Thorpe 5-2 in his semi-final.
In the final he met Kazakis in what was Ouschan’s 44th match of the tournament, and unlike previous finals this one was almost routine for the three-time Mosconi Cup winner, who ran out 5-0 winner to advance to Monday’s showpiece finale where he will meet Chris Melling, David Alcaide, Eklent Kaci, Niels Feijen, Naoyuki Oi and the winner of tomorrow’s Group 7.
“It is an incredible feeling,” said Ouschan. “I was exhausted but I tried my best and played pretty solid. It has been the most horrible feeling of my whole career. Everyone saw that I went through everything. The first day was good, the second day was horrible. Then I kept getting better and better but it was never enough. I lost to Oi, I lost to Niels, I played so many matches, but now I am super, super happy.
