Anybody tried and tested these ones yet?
Since they're plastic I was just wondering if anyone thinks they make a huge difference to the paper ones.

Hi,

The lack of response might be due to the fact that we haven't sold too many of these yet, despite having plenty of them in stock, ready for fast delivery.

Despite that, I haven't heard any complaints anywhere, and you could see in that video yesterday that it seems they are happily playing with it at the Vienna 9 Ball Grand Prix last weekend.

Frankly, if it's better than the previous model (like it says it is) then you're laughing, and at that price, including free delivery to anywhere in Europe, you've got to be on to a winner!

Why not buy one and share your opinion with us here?

Myself and Rocket have had these for about 2 months now (maybe a little longer) and they are pretty good, i know that they definitely seem to be harder wearing and tougher than the paper so hopefully will last longer. From new there is no difference other than the transparency, but i feel over time the clear plastic will perform more consistently and give tight racks for longer.

Same here dave i've had mine for about 2 months as well i think they are very good a lot better to be honest than the paper ones unless my break has got better (cheers melling) it seems to me the rack is a lot tighter than the paper ones never seen balls fly about so much its hard to explain but the impact on break is far superior than the paper magic rack. I'd get one cjj46

Had one for a couple of weeks and agree with all Nelly says, being harder than paper I find it best to get them off the table asap after breaking coz they do affect?/effect? very slow rolling balls, pros still massively outweigh cons, perhaps pro pro version will have feathered edges

Glad you liked it pal just make sure you keep it flat when not using it. ie, under your balls when there in the box may start to bend after a month or so due to useage but still quality

Well, when it came through my letter box it was folded in two! However after about a a half hour of being flattened by a huge pile of heavy books, it was back to normal.

I've been using a different version of these racks in my country for a while and the only way i've been carrying it around is in a multiple-times folded ball-like version at the only free space in my case. It looks like sh*t at first but immediately inwraps and get in perfect position, ready for racking!!!! It's made of the same material as the Magic Ball Pro, so should be same as yours, mates. If not too scared you can give it a try, no need for fancy rack-cases ! :D

Anyways - i've tried one a few times, it IS better than the paper one, but i've found a better solution, so don't need one. :)

I think they are brill, they ensure a much tighter rack, and although they do affect the game sometimes if you don't take them off after the break, I would rather use one than a triangle or diamond as these are not as accurate.

I purhased a quantity of plastic racks a few months ago directly from Japan and although they were excellent and much better than the paper ones, they were very expensive.
I then found another source in Asia where they were 25 % of the Japanes price.
I think they are great and in deference to Big Dave I wont be revealing the source or the price.

I use these all the time now am practising again and wouldn't be without one. At £5.99 for something that lasts a year of constant use you can't really complain about the price. Everyone should have one.

I am interested in getting one of the Magic Ball Racks both for 8-Ball and 9/10-Ball. Does anybody know if the rack for 8-Ball is going to give me a tight rack for 14.1 also? Will missing out the front ball effect anything at all? Also, presumably the 9/10-Ball rack will give a tight rack when messing about with something like 7-Ball? I have a lot of fun playing ring games with family with 7-Ball as they don't really play Pool and anybody can win in that game!

MBRP8

I'm guessing they'll be ok for other games if used with the usual attention to detail, but I'll ask the maker to post something here for us to make sure!

I order late last night and I'll be using my 8-Ball MBR to practice Rotation also as I think it can only develop my touch further and help my overall game.
