I always find threads like this hilarious... In America,absolutely everyone would have congratulated Darren, jumping on this thread like wildfire - they're not shy! In the Philippines, they're so proud of their country they would have posted like mad on this thread because a Filipino had qualified. In the UK we're pretty reticent about these things and too embarassed to post on threads like this. It's only because I'm constantly roaming around the foreign forums and I've become conditioned to posts like this, that I can bare to post a congrats myself! But it is a terrific acheivement, this is the REAL World 8-Ball Championships that he's qualified for, and it's a great tournament. Darren seems to be playing all over the world at the moment, really making an effort to travel and search out the action. I wonder how he manages it? yes its a great tournament venues top class and we get treated well was tough field as theres a few good local players and a fair few filipinos here and can all play very strong they come from everywhere!
i got a week to do nothing now so maybe sunbath bit of pool might take a trip to dubia see what they got to offer me over weekend ...
kevin smiths here too he plays tonight fingers crossed for him to make it!!

I was gonna go to these but decided to play on Eurotour instead-but i feel that i should have got a place in main field anyway after narrowly losing 10-9 to eventual winner WU in quarter final last year.
If you want to get invited back you will have to win it Daz!...get it done kidda!

p.s: Big Dave, you mention in your write-up about Daz's win that Kev Uzzell plays tomorrow.....WRONG! he is meeting me at the airport in Prague tomorrow for Eurotour!
