That would explain the ridiculous times.

Would be good to see some footage of the players who scored the top times to see if they can actually play the game at high speed.

The break alone counts for around 7 - 10secs before the white stops.

think most of them times were done when everyone had gone home from club, and the persons were left with probably a manageress of a rileys club, and she has knocked a minute off their times, for the promise of halfs of the first prize, which is a trip to vegas i think, not sure though

It was supposed to!

My first thoughts when I was 30 seconds I thought it was suspect never mind sub 30!

Pat holts is a pro pool player and to be honest I never heard o any of the top 6 apart from Chun

My opinion is the 29 and 30 second times the clock was started after te break shot

so if your a pro pool player that makes you better at speed pool?..ok

Whether the others are real i have no clue but i know i watched the 30.50 done by Craig Chiddy, for someone to beat it on the last day he was gutted.
And just coz you aint heard their names before doesnt mean they aint good at speedpool.
Wat they should of done is let the top 5 go to a rileys for a final, and let them all have 3 attempts each and the best average wins..simple

Yes being a pro pool play would help u at speed pool !

So u saying u watched the clock start on the break shot cos I don't think u did ! The only person who knows the truth is the timer of the miricals !!
And my guess is that if there has been a miss understanding with the time they will keep quiet so that it doesn't turn the event into a farce

being a pro pool player has nothing to do with it....yes it would help knowing how to pot balls and it being your job also helps but its about getting very lucky with the break and then not missing.
What im saying dixon is i watched the particular time happen...no i didnt watch the stopclock coz i wasnt timing it but you can tell if its going to be fast or not and i watched a very fast time simple as..and the club tell you the rules before you play..it wasnt the first week it was 2weeks into it. The time starts as soon as the tip hits the white

i heard that chiddy potted 6 off the break that would make it more of a possibility, but all the clubs had representatives or should have with the stopwatch to make sure it was done fair, i know that wolverhampton took the time from the break because i had a go, but was that the case at every one ??????? not saying it cant be done but there some fast times on there pat you said yourself off the break which is correct, would be interesting to hear from the clubs who were in the top 10 times not from yours pat

rackrunner the statement "if your a pro pool player makes you better at speed pool" is soft ok the scenario joe bloggs off the street in rileys having a game with his mates and literally couldnt hit a barn door with a cows behind is going to do better than lets say for instance gareth potts mmmmmm let me think about that one, dont think so do you, anyway were moving off the point a little the main thing is the true winner gets the prize

not all the 3 times happened 30seconds and 29 maybe one but no way 3 of them...

especially if clock starts from the break

my club was clock starts soon as you hit the break shot by time balls stopped and got your bearings thats at least 5-10 seconds..

unless pockets very big and slow tables to get 30 seconds and better virtually impossible

if the likes of chris melling, rob mckenna etc got these times i could probably just about accept it

its so easy to cheat the time or the rules and it seems most have done that!

Shame
