I've recently moved back up north, looking for people to play pool with. I used to play pool with Dave Mackay, until I moved back down south after uni. Dave, if you're still on the pool scene, how are you? I live in York but I generally go to Leeds to play pool, York doesn't seem to be great for American pool. If you fancy some games, my email is laura_borley@yahoo.co.uk, mobile 07941693 593. Also, would love to get some coaching...who's my best bet?

Dynamite is your best bet for some coaching but he's away quite a lot. Dave Mackay posts on here as pc and I'm sure he'll be able to offer you some advice on alternative options for local coaches.

Si D'Vali still plays in the Leeds Club with Dave so if you are really desperate or want to learn how not to play you could always take some lessons off him ;)

Thanks for all the replies. I'm not sure about this Eric Dockerty fella...I get the feeling the aforementioned coaching has nothing whatsoever to do with pool, would I be right. Seems like I will be able to sort something out with Darren Appleton, when he gets back from his tours. Dave - when you said about going to Leeds on Thursday, I hope you just meant to watch because I'm definitely not ready for any sort of competitions, particularly not the kind I witnessed last time I was there! Maybe I'd go to watch (and for the free food again, just joking). But I probably won't get off work until 9ish. I know you're working then anyway, but hopefully we will get to catch up/play some pool soon and I will be paying.
