Bah, unlucky Gareth,,, I think he must have known he'd lost as soon as he let his opponent come to the table with that layout.

Pottsy will be kicking himself for losing that match after doing so well to come back from 10-7 down and putting himself in a position to win it twice.

He'll need to get those two chances he missed to win 13-11 and 13-12 respectively out of his head quickly and re-group now.

Incidentally, can anyone name the Matchroom event when Steve Knight lost a rack because he didn't nominate the pocket for the nine ball?

It was hilarious, because Steve was clearly going to win anyway, he looked so comfortable out there, and even better... The next time he got to the nine ball, I swear it was the ENTIRE audience that shouted out for him to call the nine ball.., LOL

From Doug Gordon:

"Yes I was actually there to see it.

It was in the Challenge of Champions at Mohegan Sun. He played Mika in the first round (it was an 8 man field then). He shot the 9 in to take the first rack and referee Steve Tipton shouted out foul, rack to Mika.

Mika was shocked but the referees decision stood and Steve went on to lose the match.

Ortmann beat Busta in the final and it went to a sudden death one rack deciding set for $50k and there were definitely no savers made."

Chinese8Ball

There's plenty of results and reports and photos if you can understand Chinese - all the big sports websites and papers have photographers and reporters there.

See some HD photos here....

That's great news because this tournament/programme is made for the massive Chinese audience...Unfortunately it does nothing for us.

:(

I've gone on stream and they're just playing music and showing pics of players, is it the interval or summat?

I noticed that too! And the one of Mick is one that was taken by a mate of mine, local photographer. Not sure he knows either! Lol
