Dave, how about a tipster competition for this, with a prize for the winner, points awarded for 1st, 2nd, semis etc. My 3 against the field are Chris Melling, Darren Appleton and Ralf Souquet

Is anyone else able to watch some of this, or are you all working hard? The latest report (mentions Mark Gray) is updated here... www.pro9.co.uk/html/article.php?sid=1745[ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2011-10-05 13:57 ]

If I understand correctly what you are saying, this is definitely not a foul. As long as you hit your ball first you can pot an opponent's ball, except the 8 ball.

None of those silly english rules here. Rule 1: hit a ball from your own set first Rule 2: call one of your set and pocket it in the called pocket to continue your visit Rule 3: hit a rail after contact, don't scratch or pocket the 8 early etc That's about it really. As long as you hit one of your own set first you can do anything you like as long as you don't pot the 8, or make an obvious foul e.g. scratch etc. Potting one of your opponents balls is fine but you can only continue your visit if you call and pot one of your own. The only reason we think its strange to be able to pot one of the other set is because of silling english pool rules. I mean at 9 ball if you pot the 3 (the ball on) and go round the table and knock the 7 in you wouldn't expect it to be called a foul would you? Same principal.
