You may have noticed that Pro9 has been down for a few minutes, and then a few hours recently - please DON'T PANIC... The techies are on the job and keeping us all safe and online.

Recent reasons for downtime include...

"There was an issue with one of the shared hosting servers this morning, this has been resolved and your site is loading, "

And...

"My apologies for the inconveniences caused. An ongoing migration process caused the problem. The migration is in paused status (24% remaining). The services on the server are running fine. The migration process will only be resumed during the off peak hours after midnight tonight. "

Plus...

"Sorry for the inconveniences caused. The apache service required a restart and it has been done. The URL http://www.pro9.co.uk/html/ is loading fine now. Please let us know when you need any assistance."

Then 4 hours last night...

"Sorry for the inconveniences caused. There was a huge scale DDOS attack from IPs located in Ukraine, Russia, Brazil. A country wide block was required to block these attacks, it has been done. The server load has reduced and the services are running fine. We are monitoring the servers to avoid any further glitches."

"Please accept my apologies for the inconveniences caused. The server faced a large scale ddos attack from multiple sources and the resource usage peaked during that time and it caused the service outage on the server. The attack has now been mitigated and we are actively monitoring the server to avoid further problems. A reboot has also been done. The services are already started to function fine without any glitches."

...So there you go!

Another 3 hours today... I really hope we're coming to the end of this bout soon - there always seems to be a series of outages when this happens, but I think this is one of the longest periods I've noticed (although this might be because I've now got a monitor watching the website 24 hours a day, which I never had before).

Sorry if anyone has been inconvenienced... I hope I'm not losing sales from The Pro Shop!

GOOD MORNING!

We're on a new server today... They migrated Pro9 in the small hours last night, so these recent outages should be finished with - hopefully!

As usual, there are often little niggling things that need to be tweaked, like I can see some special characters aren't appearing correctly in articles, but I'll see what I can do about those as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I'd just like to say for any inconvenience you may have experienced with the site recently, and thanks for sticking with us through this awkward time.
