I'm genuinely very excited about the Stan James deal - I knew they did pool betting ever since I saw them at the World Pool Championships in Cardiff years ago and when I started applying for affiliates they were the first I checked out.

They were also the hardest to get, but I know it's going to be worth it - I'm so pleased!

So...

5/1 Efren Reyes
6/1 Chia-Ching Wu
6/1 Alex Pagulayan
9/1 Rodney Morris
12/1 Ralf Souquet
14/1 Thomas Engert
14/1 Niels Feijen
16/1 Vilmos Foldes
16/1 Ronnie O'Sullivan
18/1 Nick van den Berg
20/1 Raj Hundal
20/1 Alex Lely
25/1 Imran Majid
25/1 Tony Drago
25/1 Hiroshi Takenaka
33/1 Steve Davis

...Who is the "smart money" going to be on?

U usually bet on Feijen at the Worlds and at events such as this, with no return as yet, so think I'll stick with him.

Ive had a nice treble at 9/1 odds!!!

Reyes to beat Souquet
Van den berg to beat Foldes
Majid to beat Lely

Bargain i think!!

To win it? Nick Van Den Berg at those odds!!!!

Just checked the prices.
They've got Reyes as 2nd fav to beat Souquet in the 1st round, but got him as 5/1 fav to win the title....

What's the safest bet there? I don't want to earn a million, I just want to back the winner!

Nick van den Berg on those odds are a good bet, but I think Feijen will go all the way...

Feijen is a great player who has improved & matured on the table. Not taking that away.

but every one goes on about Feijen's in alot of world comps every year and he still doesnt do it.

For odds has to be Takenaka or Drago.

I definately wouldn't bet on Feijen, Drago or Davis. As much as I think Nick VDB is a great player I dont think he will win. To be honest I dont think Raj has a chance either. My money would be on Souquet, Wu or Rodney Morris. To be honest though I think £12.50 each way on Rodney Morris is a great bet.

Well for Rodney Morris each way: if he gets to the final you win £56.25 and there is a very good chance of that. However should he win the event you would win £193.75 and there is also a good chance of that too. With the each way bet he only has to get to the final for you to draw money!

Why not Tony Drago? I was thinking of backing him with my £25 at 25/1 each-way (£625 if he wins!!!)... He won it in 2003???
