BETTING TIPS

We’re Paying Out On Five Places

4:15. Saturday. Aintree. 150,000 racegoers and over 500 million people worldwide will hold their breath as the world’s most famous steeplechase roars into life. Welcome to the Grand National.

Will it be a fairy tale farewell for retiring hero AP McCoy? This will be his record-breaking 20th Grand National. The 40-year-old will be riding Shutthefrontdoor, owned by JP McManus and trained by Jonjo O’Neill. He is currently 7/1, the shortest odds for a favourite at Aintree since Red Rum set off at 7/2 in 1975.

Red Rum finished second that year and if that happens here there will be plenty of horses looking to steal McCoy’s thunder over the 30 fences. Also fancied is Rocky Creek (9/1), Balthazar King (10/1) and The Druid’s Nephew (14/1) to name but a few.

Fancy any of the top runners on offer? Well it’s just as well we’re offering you FIVE, that’s right, five places on Each Way bets in the big one. How’s that for value?
