Not sure what to think about this... Guilty or not?

It's a shame but he was definitely doping, but then again so was everyone he was riding against.

Can we say that for sure - apparently he had over 200 negative drug tests?

He also had numerous positive tests which were explained away, after affects of his cancer treatment being a common excuse which were accepted at the time. A lot of the stuff he was using was near undetectable with the use of masking agents which often showed up on tests.

He's made his money and enjoyed his fame for years. So he's fine whatever happens now. But Ben Johnson, that lasted about a week!

Absolute joke after all these years he's getting accused of cheating, the mans a hero n machine with what he's achieved, massive fund raiser n he does right to chalk f on it,if he was a drug cheat he would have been found out years ago, definitely not guilty in my eyes, always some idiot out there trying to ruin things,7 tour wins n years down the line he's suddenly a drug cheat, absolute bullshating

Yet another case of American authorities trying to bully whoever they want to get whatever they want. America is such a pathetic country.

Im afraid this isnt "all of a sudden" this guy was cheating from the start and so were his entire team people have wrote books about the US postal team using EPO and armstrong has never taken any legal action
I am afraid the powers that be in cycling liked the story about cancer victim wins tour more than any possible negative story
I think im right in saying his times ten years ago were far faster than Brad Wiggins last year what other sport do you see performances going backwards

but surely if he was found innocent all those years ago they can't re-try him again, not likely to be any new evidence that would be substancial enough

I guess it's safe to say I can add "I'm currently tied with Lance Armstrong in Tour de France victories." as a qualification to my job applications.

That was the problem, there was no definite test for the stuff he was using and he's refused permission for the B samples to be tested. Now tests have been developed for EPO he knows he's stuffed. Armstrong has never actually denied that he was a doper which says a lot.

I still think he's being treated unfairly though, in that era just about everyone was doping, if they were going after the others as much as Armstrong the eventual winner would probably be someone who finished outside the top 50 which is a mockery.
