Can anyone explain how decimal odds work? Am I old or what?

2.0 is even money. I think they should leave decimal odds on the Exchanges.

Decimal odds are completely wrong in my opinion and they should stay as they are..... They have changed over time though as odds used to be based on money odds (money to money) such as 100/7 used to exist but now bookies use 14/1 instead which shaved about a 1/4 of the stake of the return. -----------------

just work it out like you are putting a £1 bet, the decimal is what you get back odds are 5.5, £1 pays £5.50 (including your stake) [ This message was edited by: andystoke on 2010-04-30 05:11 ]

I wouldn´t bet at 8/11 so it doesn´t matter but if I did I would expect to get back £53.54.
