Hi Phil, All the best for your job interview tomorrow, really hope you get the opportunity you've worked hard for. Also, well done with remaining sane whilst completing your part in the abhorrent Workfare programme.
Cheers jamie

"A job is a job at the end of the day people shouldn't moan on here about the job centre that provides jobs for thousands up and down the country !!!
AND people who say there too qualified for a certain job is the biggest load of balls I had ever heard."
The Jobcentre doesn't provide anything! "Their" system (known as Universal Jobmatch) is pretty poor and could be far more effective in helping people into work. Many of the job advertisements aren't even for real jobs! It's a ploy for marketing experts to learn about the unemployed via their CV! So far in 6 months the Jobcentre have been a hindrance and not at all helpful!
In the current climate you need to take what you can get, I agree. In the long term though, why should (for example) a qualified architect be working for minimum wage after investing 7 years into higher education?

Unfortunately I never secured the job!
The two candidates that were selected had experience in a very, very similar role that I lacked. The job advertisement wasn't too clear in what exactly was required but I did well enough to make the short list, meaning I could potentially get a call up in the future.
