The George Scott Snooker Club is one of the best snooker clubs in the country and have hosted many professional events. Last month they replaced their snooker match room with 9 brand new Sam Leisure pool tables with powder blue cloth. It really is a great club and the facilities are second to none and it should be a great tournament. With the EPT currently suspended you dont have to miss out in July when EPT Solihull would have taken place. There will also be bonus features to the event including all matches played on the match table being filmed and DVDs of matches will be available. Nice one Brendan! Can I just add that the deadline for entries will be 7th July and then the draw will be posted to every player. For this reason can we ask that you include a contact number and address with every entry please. For those of you that have noticed that this event is on the same dates as EPT Solihull, I have contacted Daryl who has given me the all clear to use these dates for this event. The EPT is suspended and Solihull will not go ahead on those dates so as far as im concerned there is no clash and no one will have to miss out as this event is going ahead. I expect to be playing subject to my impending house move not getting in the way. Would be good if you can supply sort code and account number so can pay via the internet instead of using cheques / snail mail.

Does anyone know anything about Paypal? Is it possible to just send money to another member just by knowing their e-mail address. For example if i was to list myself or Les Dodds e-mail address that is connected to our paypal accounts could money be sent to these accounts?

Yes I think so. I certainly receive money to my paypal address but I'm a fully verified member so not sure if that's a requirement. PM me your paypal email and I'll send you a few pence if you like. Be aware that paypal deduct a % as their fee but not sure how much it is. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-05-29 11:10 ]

More on paypal fees....
To receive money funded by the senders paypal balance, or by instant bank transfer or by eCheque (these need the sender to have a verified paypal account) is FREE.
To receive money where the sender funds the payment by credit or debit card the fee is 3.4% plus 20 pence. I assume you'll see this deducted from the funds received.

Ahhh... just read this: ---------------------- Accept credit or debit card funded payments: 3.4% plus £0.20 GBP. No transaction limit for payments sent via Skype, otherwise there is a limit of 2 transactions per year. ---------------------- I think this is saying that you have to set up a premier/business account to receive more than 2 payments per year. And with that type of account the fees mentioned above apply regardless of the sellers funding method. So I think all you need to do is upgrade your account to Premier and then you're all set. Here is a photo of the brand new pool match room that will be used for the tournament. As you can see it is a fantastic venue, brand new Sam Leisure tables with new cloth. Each table has seating for at least 5 people so the room is ideal for spectators and those who are waiting to play can still watch matches.
